Great Deal
I too got the thousand crystals for $20. What a Great deal. I do not know how many people out there have use for that many, but I do.I do not see any defective ones as others have shown. I have looked at several under a magnifying glass and have not found any "bad" ones. These are only good for stranded cable and should never be used on solid core (often called RISER Cable). Rather than purchase boxes of stranded patch cable (hopefully pure copper and not CCA) I rather look for deals on rather long patch cables.I recently bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYC6Y1K CAT 6 -- Pure copper cables that are 150 feet long for $10.50. These RJ45 connectors work fine on this cable (snug fit).

Good plugs, great price
Looking at the RJ45 plugs, it seems that each and every one has complaints. So if I am going to throw the dice, I might as well get the cheap ones. And I am happy with them. I got the exact number, 100, and they all have 8 pins, and the plating looks good. Ten of them had the pins slightly uneven from front to back, but after the crimper pushed them in, they are fine. These are for stranded wire.

Ok but not the best I have used
Have used only some of them so far to make my own cables have found that 1 of them was unusable as it was mutilated some how. They seem to work ok but I have also found on a few when I went to crimp them down that one of the blades moves to the side as the crimp blade goes to press it on the wire and so it takes a little bit of finagling the get it pushed on the wire. They seem to work ok. For the price they not bad.

Decent RJ45s
The majority are in good order. I noticed a few of the issues that others noted but in this quantity and at this price, I can't really complain. The ones that were good worked quite well and crimped onto my cat 5e with the tool that I've had for years.

Things that seem too good to be true usually are
I'll admit to being a LOT skeptical at first about these... 1000 ends for $20??? Things that seem too good to be true usually are.Granted.. I've only used about 20 of them so far, but 100% of them have worked great!Definitely get these if you're a hobbyist looking to make your own cables and just want a stockpile of cable ends.As an ex-Professional IT person, I don't know if I'd recommend these for professional applications, but to be fair, I haven't tested them in that situation.

QUALITY
A big bag of CAT 5 connectors that will last you a good long time. You'll need at least 2 boxes of cable.

Terrible product, so cheaply made it will not work even with good quality crimper
These are extremely cheap. I've been making a lot of network cables to support my Christmas light show. As soon as I started using these I haven't had a successful crimp with any of them yet. I have a very good quality RJ45 crimper but with these, either I get several pins that will not get pushed in, when I have gotten the pins to all push in, the crimp holding the cable sleeve is so loose that the only thing holding the cable in is the pins themselves. Also one that I finally thought I got the pins pushed in showed the first 3 pins shorted together. So for me these were a total waste of money.
