Purchased these for my 2008 FJ cruiser and couldn't be happier. They came well boxed and protected and the instructions were very well laid out and informative. There are some complaints about the driver and passenger sides being mis-marked but it is an easy thing to figure out. I highly suggest you take the advice and clean out the existing mounting holes on your FJ before trying to install these. A bit of a pain, but well worth the effort.While these are not full fledged "rock sliders" they are fairly heavy and add a great look to the FJ. I especially like that these use the threaded holes that already exist in the FRAME. That is right, these bolt to the frame and not to the body. That makes these very sturdy and solid feeling. For the price, these are well worth the money if you are looking to add steps, rails or an updated look.

The installation was straightforward. I took extra time to clean my frame threads (WD40 and a thread chaser). This step ensured the bolts went in quickly and were threaded perfectly and tight. I had an extra hand, which made the installation much easier. The quality is excellent, and I'm confident they'll last a while and do what they were made to do. I highly recommend these, for the price they are outstanding. Stop reading reviews and pull the trigger - you won't regret it.

Really easy to install, well painted very very minor blemish but may have happened when I took it out of box, but based on what I plan on doing with those sliders I’m not concerned and neither should anyone else be.I didn’t have any issue determining which side they belong on like some posters, but mine also were not marked by side so seems like they fixed the wrong side sticker issue by deleting the sticker! Totally fine as instructions were clear about how each side should look.I didn’t have a helper so I used a floor Jack to balance the slider and pumped it up to right level. Done in about an hour and 25-30 of those minutes were using prep.Only advice is buy a thread chaser! Especially if your vehicle doesn’t have the holes plugged (mine weren’t plugged). This will solve the problem some have mentioned in comments about bolts being hard to turn on install.Anyway, great product, might have even changed my mind on bumper install based on the quality of these sliders!! These arrived and I was able to install them on my own. I used a stool to help prop up the one end and an 3/8 ratchet tool to help start the bolts and get them in. Two issues arose with installation: 1 the sides were mislabeled. Not too big of an issue, but took me a minute to line up the picture with the layout. 2. The bolts were just a smidge too big. I could barely start them and some wouldn't go in at all. I finally used the bolts from the previous step bar and locked everything down tight.Overall these look good on the FJ and have a good bit of weight (more than I expected) so should be a bit more stout when off-road. I know they are not officially "rock rails" so I wouldn't expect them to hold up if I was bouncing off rocks, but for what I do, these will be nice.

I was really impressed on the Quality and for the price .install was pretty easy. I had to take off my oem rock sliders had some dirt and rust in the holes where the bolts go . I went ahead and cleaned them out after that I installed them . Also I used my original bolts the ones that came with the steps would get stuck half way through. So I would advise you safe your oem ones

CLEAN YOUR FRAME THREADED INSERTS. I am a real customer with a real review. These are an awesome deal! Packaging was great, very well padded with foam, bubble wrap & foam wrap, which is good because the freight carrier damaged one end of the box but the well protected package job worked. Only issue I had, as did another reviewer, was the Driver/Pass sides were mislabeled. Not a big deal as they cannot be installed on the wrong sides (so couldnt make that mistake). Only issue and its a big one, has nothing to do with the seller or the product. If your frame mounted inserts hav been exposed YOU MUST CLEAN THE THREADS OUT!! I had to run a tap through mine after cleaning. If you don't you risk stripping threads or breaking bolts. Fit is perfect around the brake lines and all around. They do tuck in close, hugging the body a bit so you lose about 1/4 of the surface area of the step but they are still a better step than the OEM nerf bars (& about 45lbs each). Looks are great, like an OEM product and very beefy. Excellent buy for the price! And I did the install alone, but you need to be strong and/or use extra supports.

Arrived on time, and very well packaged. Easy instructions, and even easier installation. I had a buddy help me, and badda bing, we removed the old sliders, cleaned the mounting areas, installed both sides, and had the tools put away in less than an hour. You should defineitely clean out, and lightly luricate, the mounting holes on vehicle frame. A Fantastic Look, Sturdy, and highly functional. An EXCELLENT Value.
