Neat radio at great value
Smaller than I expected but just right, as it’s discreet. Lovely “oak” surround. Good sound and reasonably easy to program and use.

Basic dab radio
It's a good basic dab radio. I bought it as I have had the Azatom sports radio for some time. This is a different animal its not so solid a feel as the smaller radio but the bigger box resonates giving it a richer sound. My only problem was the tiny labels which needed a magnifying glass and bright light to read annoying to set up but not so much now I have learned my way around after the initial set up. The readout screen is attractive and easy to read. The battery life is short a few days of random playing even less on rechargeable, sensibly I will probably use it plugged in which means a bigger set would have been a better buy. The rechargeable sports set lasts weeks between charges.

Great wee radio
Super sound from this radio. A few issues with DAB reception, but that could be more to do with our location.

Unreliable and a bit cranky
We have had this for 12 months so I think a good time to reveiw as we have lived with it and have discovered the pros and cons. It's neat and compact and looks quite good on the bedside table. The digital clock readout is clear and, at night, bright enough with out being disturbing. Don't bother with the "analogue" clock display - it's a digital representation and looks poor. The controls are easy enough to understand and follow, the sound is a little thin but nothing too off putting for a unit of this size and price. Reception is quite crackly, but that is probably where we live, in a little valley with poor mobile and TV signal but it does suggest that you aren't going to get good results from this unless you live somewhere wih fairly good signal strength. The real bugbear with it is that it randomly changes the time and date two or three times a week. We have found ourselves back in 1985 or shot ahead to 2050 and at all times of the day. Apart from the fact that it is irritating to keep having to manually reset the date and time to the correct settings, it also means that you can't trust the device to sound an alarm at the required time and, if you wake up in the night, you can't rely on the correct time being displayed. We are going to replace this with something (hopefully) more reliable and would not buy this device again

Great value for money
Radio works like a charm. It has DAB, Bluetooth and can be used both portably and plugged in. Smaller device than expected however the volume goes surprisingly high whilst maintaining good audio quality. Great value for money.

Nice radio
I ordered the G1 version but was delivered the G2 which was brilliant as it's got the rechargeable batteries in it. I know the sizes are listed and correct but it's still a little bit smaller than I expected. It's generally easy to use, the buttons work well and the colour screen is excellent. Sound quality it good considering the size of the radio. The only niggle I have is with setting the presets. I think a little bit clearer explanation in the instruction would help, maybe how long to hold buttons etc. Not sure how long the rechargeable battery last before it needs plugging in yet.

Its adequate
Radio is small light and feels incredibly cheap. For listening to news it fine (that's predominantly my plan)If you want to experience high fidelity sound, look elsewhere. Like all that is modern, this is a menu heavy device. It has buttons covering the first 4 saved stations for each of the 2 bands. If you want to listen to station pre set 5 onwards you have to go into the menus. I didn't find the menus a challenge, I suspect it runs on the same chip set that most low end radios run on & it felt familiar to me. I won't be returning it as it suits my need. If you want quality I would stump up the extra £100 and get something else. It's built to a price it's ok.

Enter the world of Digital Radio!
Handsome little radio. Manual in several languages, easy to understand. Handy to include FM. Earphone plug too tight if 3.5mm, use 2.5. Same the AUX. Batteries go down fast if using loudspeaker so plug in at home. An upgraded ASPIRE G1 should be rechargeable.
