Rinbers® USB Charging Port Charger Socket Board JDS-030 for Sony PS4 3rd Gen Controller with 12 Pin Cable

First things first, if you don't know how already. Search for a video on YouTube, a How To "FULLY" Dismantle a PS4 controller. While doing that, or even before. Verify what Model of PS4 controller you currently own. Several ways to do this. Easiest being to check for model number, on label located on the very backside of the controller. If you need to know any other means, say if your label is missing. Search google or YouTube, in my case and the model I k ow this part will fit. Is JDM - 030 Generation II PS4 Controller. After dismantling the controller down to it's PCBA, It takes 1 screw to undo the old charging port. There's also only 1, ribbon cable connector. After reassembling my controller, to my success. The new charging port works like new again! No more crappy wrapped cables, or bent and damaged ports. My kids broke the charge port on our PS4 Remote and it would no longer charge. I did have to do some digging as there are different generation remotes based upon the serial number. Glad I did because this item was a perfect fit! There are several videos on Youtube that are a huge help in getting this installed just be careful with the trigger springs as they can get out of place and bend easily. Saved some $$$ not having to buy a new remote.

Bought it to help repair an old remote that wouldn't connect anymore and can be bit tricky to install.

After installing the new charge port component, it worked great![ADVICE] : 1st while installing, make sure to disconnect the battery from the controller main board, press and hold the PS button for a few seconds to drain the residual energy from the controller. 2nd while installing the new charge port component, line up the port with the port hole, there are 2 holes on the component to help align and mount the board, make sure to push down on it so the plastic bezel inside the case goes through the hole on the board, then fasten the screw in place. 3rd, match the folds of the older ribon cable to the new one, gently insert both ends of ribon cable. Carefully reassemble the controller make sure to plug the battery back into the main board. Good luck! 😄

Installed properly and caused an electric shock and then melted the connecting peice as shown. Not cool 😒

My cousin was going to ditch his PS4 controller due to it no longer holding a charge. He thought it was the cable and bought a new one to try. Luckily I caught wind about it and check it out 1st. His USB input was damaged due to the cables being crammed in after the chip got bent. So I did a little research and found this to be the exact charging socket for his specific controller. I've dealt with Xbox controllers so I didn't have much problem getting the PS4 one open. Got this installed pretty quickly and when plugging it up afterwards it immediately started charging. The shipment on this was pretty fast and I think I had his controller back to him in 3 days tops. If the need arises, I know where to get the right parts.

Bought this replacement JDS-030 board to fix a Playstation 4 controller that was not charging. Replacement board fixed the charging problem but I noticed the LEDs no longer worked. Inspecting the board showed that the LED bank had been broken off the board at some time.Contacted the seller and explained the problem, very quick response from them. For expediency, as they are based in China, we agreed on a full refund for the first board I had bought and then I could buy a second one. The refund came through Amazon very quickly and I now have a second board that works correctly.Board is of good quality with zero-insertion force/clip-down ribbon cable socket which is much better that the regular push-in socket that can damage cables. New ribbon cable and screwdriver included in the kit.

Two of my Ps4 controllers got the charging port damage because i decided to charge them with my Phone charger. Bad idea!! A lesson learn. So I started looking to replace the charging ports and I was skeptical with this port, So I decided to order one just to see if it'll work. When I received it. I connected it to one of my PS4 controllers and wallah. It's Alive I tell you!! It's charging my controller like if nothing happen to it!Already order my second Charging port!!Update: I order the second Charging port but it arrived defective. Sadly now I have to go through the hassle of sending it back and buy another one...the first charging port is working fine.
