LEGO City Fire Engine Set 60112

This product came very quickly. It is easy to put together and add to my collection.

Lego has cranked out a very detailed piece. My only complaint is that the ladder should be a center mount ladder and there is usually a tiller operator that sits in the rear of a REAL tiller truck. I fixed mine ;)

This is a great set. The price point is a little high for it, so maybe wait for it to go on sale, but overall, a good build.

This is a cool set, but the design strikes me as odd. If you get the chance to see what an actual fire tiller truck in real life this set looks wrong. First of all where's the tiller cab in the rear? Second, the turn table that the ladder sits on needs to be on the other side of the trailer. I work at a second hand lego store so I am very particular of city vehicles looking the right way. The beauty of lego though, you don't like the design, you can modify it yourself. Otherwise its a decent set.

My son loves his Lego City collections. Fire truck was easy to build and everything was delivered well.

My five-year old son enjoy putting together Legos as a hobby. We ordered this set to go along with the fire station #60110. We are are usually very satisfied with anything that Lego makes, but this one left us a bit disappointed.Pros:Normal Lego quality, fun building experience, structurally sound when complete. The set goes well with both the current fire station and the older fire station that Lego sold back in the early 90s when I was a kid- that I still have.Cons:For roughly $50, this Lego seems very overpriced. MSRP is 49.99 and while it is a larger fire truck, it certainly doesn't end up feeling like a $50 Lego. In my mind, Lego would probably sell a lot more of these if the price were around $35. Then there are the obvious design issues. As a previous reviewer stated, the base of the ladder in any tiller truck should be in the front- resting over the part of the trailer that connects with the cab. Lego has it backwards- and I'm not sure why. There is also a lack of equipment that (for $50) should be included in the rear of the trailer. It includes a saw, a fire extinguisher, a radio, and the fire hose- that's it. It includes a little container that goes in the large door in the trailer- but nothing to go in it. I also find it a bit disappointing that the ladder doesn't extend very high. The much smaller fire truck that is included in the actual fire station (#60110) actually has a ladder that reaches higher than this tiller truck... which is disappointing considering that the whole point of a tiller truck is to be able to reach higher than standard fire trucks.

It's Legos, it's a fire truck. Not much more to say! Son loves it!
