Easy To Use, Good Tone, Seems Powerful
Once you have connected up the rechargeable battery (see below), and inserted mic batteries, you turn it on, set the overall power power level and the Mic1/Mic2 gain as appropriate (and the remote mic gain) and away you go. The tone seems very good, and it will fill a pretty good-sized room with your voice/s.Connecting the Internal (Rechargeable) BatteryThere is a sticker on one of the vertical columns of the rolling handle for the system (at the rear) that explains that before you use the amp for the first time, you need to connect the rechargeable battery to the wires that run to the amp itself. As others have said, the battery is located in a compartment in the center of the back of the case, which is reached by removing four small screws and removing the cover. (I had to use a knife blade to gently pry the cover up--it's a tight fit.) I had to lift the battery up and out of the case to get at the wire running from the amp. The connector is a type I have never seen in the US. Be careful to observe the polarity of the wires--red to red and black to black, before you push the two pieces of the connector together.Once you have done this, you need to CHARGE THE BATTERY BEFORE USING. When you plug the AC line cable into a socket, you should see a red light come on, above the words "DC 12V CHARGE" on the instrument panel. When this light GOES OUT, the internal battery is fully charged. (Mine took several hours to charge the first time.) Now the unit is ready to use. If the light does NOT come on, you may have connected the battery in reverse polarity (or the AC wall socket you are using may be faulty); try it again. You are advised always to use the amp by running off its rechargeable battery. They say running it while the AC cord is plugged into the wall may introduce what is call "line noise" (static or a hum) into the amp.Other BatteriesYour hand mic won't work unless you unscrew the cap at its base and insert a regular, rectangular 9V battery. Again, check the polarity-- "+" and "-" are faintly marked on the plastic inside the handle of the mic. And once again, there is no standard US 9V battery wire attachment "clip"--you just drop the battery down into the handle (correctly polarized) and screw the cap on again. The clip-on controller for the lapel/lavelier mike also requires its own 9V battery. To install it, you slide the top of the controller up and drop the battery in, again taking care that the polarity is correct. This controller has its own on/off switch and "gain" control, which we had to set down to avoid mike feedback squeal. [Remember that the hand mic has an on/off switch too; you have to turn it on before it will work.]Our hand mike came up on Channel 1. and the lapel mike on Channel 2, for each of which you will need to adjust the respective mic gain knob on the side panel of the amp. [By the way, DO NOT REMOVE the orange and black stickers that are on the hand mike and the headset mike transmitter (and also on the amp); the numbers on these stickers identify the channels used by the mics.]We did not try out the FM radio, Bluetooth, or MP3-based PA features, but for regular wireless voice, which is how we intend to use it, the unit seems to work fine. You would think the manufacturer would invest a few hundred dollars and re-write the manual for this device in proper English and covering all its features. You shouldn't have to guess about so many things or piece info together by reading last-minute labels when you start using the unit.OOPS! Just tried the button mic and the headset version. I couldn't clip the button one on my clothing so that it was close enough to my mouth to pick up my voice effectively (although it worked fine if I held it between my fingers), and the headset mic was un-useable, due to the fact that its headband and ear loops are so small they seem designed for the head of a small child! The hand mic still works fine, however.I called the manufacturer (909-628-6088 in Calif.), and they agreed to send me a second hand mic (set up for the channel my first hand mic is NOT using), while I agreed to use the USPS sticker they're sending thru Amazon and return the non-workable parts to them. This suits me OK. They said mine was the first complaint on the button and headset mics they have had.

Perfect Device For An Individual Holding Classes
I have been using wireless P.A. systems for over 30 years and I just have to say that this package is one of the most compact, well designed and most affordable on the market today. In addition to that, the most important thing is that it works great. As a instructor of professional hypnotism voice quality is critical for me in an audio system. I love this one as it also has a built-in echo device which adds a terrific sound for a hypnosis induction. When I first got the unit I thought the device would be too small for my purposes. Boy was I pleasantly shocked. The speaker fills the room with high quality sound and just works great. If you need a small audio system is portable, high quality and will not let you down don't hesitate for a minute. Get this one. For me, I found headset microphone works the best. I use the headset mic and my assistant uses the handheld mic for the audience to ask me questions. I expect this system to serve me well for a long time.P.S. I had a little feedback problems ao I purchased the Pyle PMEM8 Cardioid Condenser Headset Microphone and the problem was gone. Not only that, this mic was much better in all areas then the one that came with it. No feedback and greater clear bass. It's a cheap mic that works like a expensive one.

JUNK - Terrible hiss/static/noise. Zero uses.
If you turn off the included wireless microphone while the speaker is on, the static is louder than the mic was. No joke. And when the mic was on, there was terrible hiss, static and poping/cracking (sounds like SWIO & ZOPP) almost constantly. Completely unworkable. The amount of noise exiting the speaker far exceeds what you put thru the mic. I also tried the smaller version which I thought was also very bad due to very loud constant hissing noise far in excess of mic input. I bought these because I purchased a larger version 3 years ago and those were very good for the price, until the mic's stoped working. But these new small models from hisonic are complete junk. Horrible. Sorry, I wanted to love it. But its junk. Returning pronto, along with the 2 smaller ones I got directly form hisonic. I guess I'll keep limping along with the 3 year old larger ones using the seperate mics I bought, until I can find something that actually works.

Great Speaker, terrible Microphones, so so customer service.
Received it with a defective handheld mic, which sometimes works and sometimes wouldn't and a defective remote that doesn't work. The hands free mic is not sensitive enough and needs to be VERY close to your mouth in order for it to work. Attaching it to your shirt won't help, so you basically need to hold it close like a handheld device. The headset mic is badly designed and is completely uncomfortable as it needs to hang from both your ears. The speaker itself has a terrific sound quality and is very loud and can work well in very large rooms with large audience.I called their service department and this is what they had to say:1. I will need to send the handheld mic for service (this is a brand new system)2. they know the hands-free mic sensitivity is limited and that it needs to be very close to the mouth.3. they are aware the headset is badly designed and uncomfortable and that there is nothing they can do.This product could have been great with good microphones, but with this configuration I have to send it back.
