So happy I was forced to buy a groin guard
I bought this for my fiancé, so here is what she had to say:I took a last minute Muay Thai match that required and actually enforced groin protection. Having never bothered with these before, we had to oder one quick. The directions it comes with on how to put it together leave a bit to be desired, but if you watch the Lo-Bloo video, it makes perfect sense. I did a quick 5-5-5 (5 rounds of skipping rope, 5 of shadow boxing, and 5 of bag work) cardio focused work out two days before my match, and I only really noticed it at first because I was joking with a friend of mine that it was my chastity belt, but in all reality it did not at all get in the way. I wore it over my compression shorts and under my Muay Thai shorts during the match. It did not interfere with kicks, knees, clinching or footwork, and I did not notice it until I happened to take a knee to the crotch that I am pretty sure lifted my feet off the ground. It made the shot perfectly tolerable, and I kept going. Honestly, it went from something that sorta irked simply because I was forced to get it to something I am so frickin' happy I had, because that shot would have done some serious damage. For now on, I am going to use this for fights and heavy sparring sessions. The protection is top quality; it's comfortable; and it kept me safe. I would give it ten stars if I could.

My first Krav cup
It is actually very comfortable, I forget I am wearing it, unless the straps slide down if not tightened just rightI wish the top strap were little thicker so, I am full figure so my curves make it roll a little in spots and have to fight with it to keep smooth. But that is more of a me issue I think than the product, not everyone may experience that, I am pretty hippy being Italian German and Irish -yikes

Expensive, but needed it, and it does the job.
TLDR: I think it's a bit too pricey for what it is, but it works well and I needed it.I do HEMA and wanted something to protect my groin. There aren't many options out there, and this is exactly what I wanted. I wanted something I could wear on the outside of my pants--I have some foam hip/upper leg shorts that I wear over my pants, and I wanted this to be inbetween the two. It is uncomfortable to wear underneath my pants, but works well enough between these two layers.Do not try to wear this like you see men wearing cups. It needs to be further forward, if you will, so that only the narrow piece is really going down between your legs.I found the stretchy little cord to be largely uncomfortable and useless, and found it pulled and tugged in all the wrong ways. I took it off and just use the band. This works better for what I need--which is to put it on and wear it once I arrive at practice, and then take it off after. I slip the band up over my hips like putting on a skirt, and put the protective compression shorts on over that. I adjust it so it's comfortable enough, and the compression shorts + the single wide band are plenty enough to keep it in place during practice.Essentially, this is a piece of hard plastic with no gel or anything like that and not adjustable sizes on the plastic with a few pieces of elastic. I think it's pretty overpriced considering that. But, I needed a cup, and almost all the other female cups I have found were either garbage or they were designed so that I HAD to wear them under my pants and put them on prior to arriving to practice around a bunch of dudes. With this, I can slip it on over my clothes and be protected easily.

It's a coochie guardian! Put it on and forget it
When I first got this, it took me a while to figure out how to put the thing together. The instructions had pictures but no words to go with it. After fumbling around, I managed to assemble it. The band is elastic and can stretch. The strings are also adjustable. The strings don't stay in the holes so I ended up tying the ends of the strings together so they would stay put. Another user mentioned having a similar problem. This sits rather low on me since it is a little smaller than expected (size of a small-medium hand); the top of the guard is level with the lower half of my hip bones. It cups the groin where the pubic bone is and the curve goes to cover about 80-90% of my vagina. The tip does not go all the way back like a thong. If this was worn by a person bigger than a moderately active 5'4, 133lbs woman, coverage is not guaranteed. I reckon a pretty well aimed kick to that area would do a considerable amount of damage even with the cup on.This groin protector was so lightweight and molded for a body fit that I forgot that it's on. I only notice when I'm stretching and it bends with me or when I'm being hit.I don't think the silicon on the rim is meant to be a shock absorber. The cup bends slightly when I press against it so I know when I'm being hit, the shock is instead being dispersed but still transferred to my body. I believe the silicon is there to prevent the hard shell from digging into your sides. Granted, it does have some impact absorption. The only downside is that the silicon does retain smell. To be clear though, you can use this guard for a good 4-8 sessions, depending on how much you sweat, before you have to wash and disinfect for hygenic reasons. For me, I only had to wash every 6-8 sessions, only because I don't sweat a lot and the silicon didn't have much odor. It's not as padded as my other guard but I prefer this one because it doesn't get in my way or distract me from learning.Since there aren't many female groin protector options out there, I definitely recommend this product. Despite the price, I think it's worth it. It's light and does it's job: keep that coochie safe.
