If you know someone who loves puzzles and boxes, this is the gift for you! It is pretty enough to be a decorative piece in your living room and the pieces fit nicely, no gaps or lines. It looks like an interesting box, nothing to suggest the puzzle part.After the initial dubious expressions because it is an uncommon gift, it quickly became a favorite for everyone to try.I was worried because it is expensive and I hoped that it wouldn't be a cheaply made Oriental Trading Post gift and I was pleasantly surprised because it is pretty and well made. It is a timeless gift, something that a teenager can carry on to adulthood to set up on a shelf and remember ''the birthday when..."The only complaint that I received was that I should have purchased the more complicated box, but that is happily solved next birthday!

Excellent quality and beautifully crafted. Just wish it could have been a little bigger.

This box is at least ten times better than the pictures made me think it would be. The inlay is real, the finish is smooth and fine, the materials are superb, the solution is tricky but not impossibly so (I lost the directions immediately, so it's a good thing!). Well worth every penny; I plan to buy more from this seller.

I ordered it for my husband, it was very easy to unlock, so I recommend this puzzle box for teens maybe. Anyway, he had a good time opening it.I was very disappointed that the box came in a bubblewrap envelope which was damaged in a lot of places. Thankfully the puzzle box had only a tiny scratch on one edge (you can see it on the photo). And that you can see which part to slide, because the simbols doesn't quite match there (photo).Other than that it is a nice replica but not worth the money.

Its ok, but its clearly the lowest effort in production and fun. Loosened up after 2 days and became super obvious how to solve it.

I got one of these as a gift for my girlfriend. She absolutely loved trying to get it open. I liked watching her try to figure it out. Fantastic quality for the price. Very good detail in the woodworking. I almost bought myself one I liked it so much.

Kinda small

Very tight fit, was meant for a child's gift, but I had trouble manipulating it. A little gentle sanding and some beeswax lubrication and got it working ok.
