Garmin 18x 5Hz GPS Navigator Unit

It's a nice WAAS-corrected GPS at a great price. And it's RS-232, ya. Way better than that junk in a smartphone. This one can see you wave it back and forth in front of you. Very impressive for the price.

This antenna is part of the Zero-Off speed control system for my Malibu ski boat. I have had to replace 4 of them at this point. The boat has two installed to draw from. At times they have worked from as long as two years to not working on arrival. It has got to a point that I needed to install quick disconnects to replace them. When they work, they are awesome, when they don't, they suck.

It worked great while it worked. However, this is the second time I've had to replace this in just over 4 years.

This is a compact unit that has very fast acquisition time. Easy mounting options, with the magnetic base, or the threaded insert. Easy to wire up and integrate into our application. Garmin did a nice job on this unit. The price is very reasonable.

BEST GPS receiver i have gotten so far.After more than 5 years, they're still working like new. incredibly well made!
