Very consistent and fast read/write performance!
This card performs as advertised. I did a few SMB transfers to and from the card (attached to a Transcend USB 3.0 SD card adapter) and got consistent write speed of around 60 MB per second, and consistent read speed of around 90 MB per second (see attached screenshots). When switching to a USB 2.0 port I got respectable write speed between 30 - 35 MB per second and 113 MB per second on reads (I'm not sure why USB 2.0 reads were higher than 3.0, but I ran the tests several times and got the same results).I'm hoping the reliability of this card is as stellar as the read/write performance. I've had a few duds over the years (not with PNY brand), so time will tell. For now this card is worthy of top reviews - for consistent performance and a good price!

Works Great in the Galaxy S7 Edge
I wanted a U3 speed rated card for my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and this seemed like the best balance of speed and price at the time I purchased. It works great in my phone. I use it to save my Google Play music and Videos locally to my phone without using up my internal storage. This allows me to listen to music and watch videos without eating into my cellular data when on the go. The Google Play music and videos play great from the SD card without stuttering.I also use it to store my photos and videos that I take with my phone. It works great for that and doesn't seem to slow down the camera app when shooting pictures or videos. I have not tested recording 4k videos though, I assume that will work ok as well.I also found out that you can setup your Google Maps to store offline copies of your maps to the SD card. So, I use it for that as well.So far the card is working flawlessly and seems plenty fast for an SD card. I couldn't be happier!

Excellent read and write performance in a value microSD card
I tested the 32GB version of the PNY Elite-X microSD card. The card offers U3 speed rating (meaning it can sustain at least 30MB/s continuous write speed). The card is rated 90MB/s read speed and no write speed is advertised other than the U3 rating. I tested the card in several USB 3.0 card readers and it benchmarked between 75-77 MB/s sequential write in all of them. Compared with the regular Elite card this one has over twice as fast write speed and is excellent performance for the price (when purchased it was similar in price to the Elite card).-----------------------------------------------------------------------CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64 (C) 2007-2013 hiyohiyoCrystal Dew World : http://crystalmark.info/-----------------------------------------------------------------------* MB/s = 1,000,000 byte/s [SATA/300 = 300,000,000 byte/s]Sequential Read : 96.661 MB/sSequential Write : 76.954 MB/sRandom Read 512KB : 89.226 MB/sRandom Write 512KB : 21.220 MB/sRandom Read 4KB (QD=1) : 5.988 MB/s [ 1461.8 IOPS]Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 0.918 MB/s [ 224.1 IOPS]Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 7.517 MB/s [ 1835.1 IOPS]Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 0.780 MB/s [ 190.5 IOPS]Test : 1000 MB [F: 0.0% (0.0/30.2 GB)] (x5)Date : 2016/06/29 13:54:24OS : Windows 8.1 Pro [6.3 Build 9600] (x64)

Works with Android 6.0 Adoptable Storage Feature!
I recently purchase a new Moto G4 Plus from Motorola to replace a phone which took a dip in the ocean. My new phone is great, with the only major drawback being that it only has 16 GB onboard storage. Enter in Android 6.0's new adoptable internal memory feature, and this microSD card. I tried two cards before purchasing this one, a 32 B and 64 GB card both of which guaranteed hi-speed performance (both were Class 10 UHS-1). However, when I tried using them as added internal storage on my phone, they both tested rates of read/write which were too slow to be useful (causes app stuttering if data is moved to the card), and were essentially useless to me.This card, however, had no problem keeping up with the data transfer speed requirements of the phone, and has added 32 GB to the storage of my phone seamlessly. If you are in the market to expand your phone's native storage, I can't recommend any other card or brand higher than this. PNY has consistently delivered good products and great customer service, and they're pretty unbeatable for the the price point.

Unbelievable price for great quality micro SD card!
Needed a micro SD card for my Moto G7 phone. Searched around for a128gb card. I have been buying SanDisk SD cards recently, but found this PNY 128gb for an unbelievable price! Did my research and found great reviews for longevity, durability, and speed. Received it in 2 days, took it out of the packaging, popped it in my phone, and Voila! Works perfect!

Terrible Performance
I needed a U3 rated MicroSD card to use as internal memory for my Moto G4 so I purchased this brand based on another review. When I went to format it in my device, I was a bit surprised with THE WARNING SAYING CARD APPEARED SLOW and that I should get a faster card. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but decided to run a few benchmarks just to make sure. I was a bit disappointed at the results...Motorola Moto G4A1 SD BenchFirst Bench:Read: 37.16 MB/s Write: 17.21 MB/sSecond Bench:Read: 36.96 MB/s Write: 16.37 MB/sThis card performed quite terribly.

I ordered two, and the second one was defective ...
I ordered two, and the second one was defective. That was especially frustrating because these were to replace a different defective card.
