Works great, looks good, gets the job done (depending on what the job is)
Quite sturdy, heavy clamp. You can really tighten the screw. The body is lightweight folded sheet metal with tension springs that work great and don't make any detectable noise upon minor adjustments. Two different mic supports make it possible to switch back and forth between types of mics. The stand is rated for lightweight mics, not suitable for the heavy ones, although you can always find your sweet spot and tighten the manual bolts to fixate it in place, making it a fixed stand. I really like the maneuverability and amplitude of movement it allows. With lighter mics, you can pretty much move it wherever it goes, and it stays in place.Simple pop filter doesn't always stay where it's needed, but gets the job done. Pop filter clamp is flimsy, but manages to fixate with some sturdiness. The pain scratches easily, but that is not problem if you are a careful person.

Great value, and very sturdy boom!
Extremely high quality desk boom stand. Feels sturdy and tightens very well. I use quite a heavy microphone (RØDE NT USB) and it carries it well. Also great value — comes with a pop shield and a shock mount. Unfortunately the shock mount didn’t fit my mic, but it would definitely be great for a different mic that maybe doesn’t have knobs on the side. Pop shield is nice and sturdy but made of a cloth material. Overall it’s great value — essentially 3 products for under $20.

Amazing bang for your buck!
I was a bit skeptical of the products viability given its near $20 price. The fact that this comes with a shock mount, pop filter, and arm was amazing! All I had before was an AT2020 (USB) and this has upgraded my setup to superior audio quality! The instructions were a bit unclear, seeming to have been translated from some language into English, but after a few minutes of tinkering I got everything set up.The arms feel surprisingly sturdy, and the ability to adjust the tension in the middle "elbow" of the arm means I can move the arm however I want and it will "freeze" in mid air! Awesome product!I'm sure you could get a more expensive mount, and get something slightly more sturdy, but this is really hard to argue with for $20.

Awesome scissor stands w/ quality accessories for a great price
Holds up extremely well. I'm using with an at2020 and couldn't be happier. Only downside which is a common problem with all mic arms and NOT AT ALL THE PRODUCTS FAULT is make sure your table/desk you're attaching to has squared edges... example [ not ( ... if that makes sense at all haha. My desk has an abnormally rounded edge which the mounting clamp just couldn't grip. Drilled a small wooden block to the edge of my desk to clamp onto, problem solved. Would still recommend this product to anyone.

Acceptable for Beginners but junk pop filter.
The stand is overall acceptable, but it does have its shortcomings. The clamp will slip with a light bump. It doesn't maintain position in a stable way (but if you move it a lot while you're streaming for example it isn't that big of a deal). The pop filter is junk, or at least mine was. The part where the flexible arm connects to the clamp is extremely loose and causes it to spin. It won't hold in place and is worthless because gravity and weight alone causes it to shift and spin out of position. There's no way to tighten that, either. But it's not all that bad. It's great for a beginner and like I said if you move your microphone a bit while streaming it will diminish the obvious impacts of your stand sagging down out of position (no matter how tight you make it). I'm happy I bought it at least to start with, and know that the next purchase will be to go with something more quality.

Amazing choice!
I personally am a twitch streamer, online gamer, musician (write and record my own tracks), as well as college student that does live seminars that I must communicate with others through software via video and audio. This item here helps me accomplish that while looking a whole ton more professional, and very slick. My favorite thing about it is that I no longer have to use a floor stand for my mic. It was taking up precious space that I could not afford as well as getting into the way of other things. Not to mention the cord running from that was driving me up the wall. Now my floor is free of clutter, my desk looks amazing, and the cable runs down along the boom and tucks away where it's almost unnoticeable. 10/10 product. If they increased, or even doubled the price, I would still purchase this specific boom.

Defective or Buyer Beware?
I purchased this item August 24, 2016. I was really excited to try this thing out with my new microphone. It was working quite well for the last three weeks. Then this morning, on September 24, I heard a cracking noise and a smash from my bedroom. My mic had fallen out of the stand and smacked on the floor and the desk stand had broken from the part that holds it to the desk. There is no way to repair it. The part that secures the entire scissor arm to the desk is a thin piece of metal and it just broke off under the pressure of a very light microphone: a sm-57. I will attempt to return the item as defective but it must be recieved by Amazon by September 25. I have owned this item for exactly 29 days and it broke, so either you should be wary of this item or I just received a defective unit.

be gentle, but it will work just fine.
the first thing I did was read over all of the bad reviews. Neewer did change the table mount and it is now one solid piece. I attached the boom onto a SQUARE table edge (very important to its stability) and stuck my modified 1800S . it held just fine. you definitely need to be gentle when moving this thing around, I can already tell you that the thin metal will not withstand allot of abuse. the wind screen likes to walk off but nothing a piece of yarn didn't remedy. for a cheap, decent setup, this isn't a bad product at all. in fact, I ordered three of them and they all seem to work just fine. but remember, these are still budget stands and are not made to withstand seriously heavy use.
