The product is okay. But it is overpriced. This is my first time buying and setting the cat door. I thought that it could be something major with quality (material, smoothness of opening and closing of the door, major 4 way lock system) but it is quite simple. And the material is normal grade plastic. Is it imported? Is that why it is that expensive?It looks good though. No issues so far except that the door gets jammed and the cat gets trapped outside sometimes. I used oil and grease but does not work long term.

The door magnet is not working properly and it is made of very poor quality plastic. I wanted to return but it has to be shipped myself. Unfortunately I have no option to go out. Also I see that "refund would be credited less 30% from the original amount as a restocking fees". Very disapponting. I am a regular customer of Amazon. They should pick the item and refund me full money. It is a worthless product.

Easy to install & cats used it after just a few times showing them.

I have an old doggy door that works perfectly and it is on the door for the outside. I bought this product for the inner door this time so I could keep my door closed when guests arrive but my dogs would still have access to go outside by using the inner doggy door to the outer doggy door.The installation was easy as I watched a few videos to install. The pet door itself could be better. The screen door that swings itself gets stuck on one side or the other and doesn't completely close by swinging back down. I had to spray it A LOT with a door hinge oil I had around the house. It helps the swinging door swing better, but sometimes it still gets stuck, but not as much as before where it just kept the door open completely. With the oil, it leaves maybe a small half to an inch gap from the full close position.Another thing is the locking mechanism to keep the door close or allow it to open, I have it constantly left open but I noticed that my dogs were not coming back into the living room and when I went to check, the lock mechanism locked on its own. I think when my dogs go outside their legs may have moved it slightly. I unlocked it and noticed that it is really loose that this can keep happening and lock my poor dogs out. This would be dangerous if I used it for the outside door, but I use it for the inner door so they aren't exposed to heat or cold, but still don't have access to water or coming back for company if they are locked out. I'm not sure if it is my product or the rest.

For the money, this pet door is a great value. Installation isn't difficult if you're a decent DIY'er. The design could use some improvement. The screw holes line up which you would think is a good thing, and it is... except the screws that are provided are to long and will run into each other when inserted from opposite sides, this will occur even if you're installing the product in a standard door. If you have to trim down the interior flange for a pet house application, you may have to drill holes under the existing pre-drilled screw locations to accommodate both sides and use smaller screws.
