helps with pulling
I have purchased cheaper prong collars and this one is the real deal. Very good quality, works well and REALLY helps with pulling. Our dog trainer recommended this brand and I thought it was a bit pricey but bought it. I was not disappointed! This collar changed my life while dogs are on leash. We have very powerful American Bullies and this works. The only negatives I have are the price and it is slightly hard to get on/off. There is no clip, you have to squeeze the prongs to get it off. After a couple weeks you will get used to it, it isn't terrible. Overall, well worth it, we have 3.

Great of your dog is sensitive to nickel.
Our boxer's fur discolored and showed irritation. Changed to this collar and her neck looks great.Tried her normal web collar and found the buckles and tag caused issues. Going 100% brass now.White fur, no longer turned black from a standard collar.

Works for us
Helps with pulling issues, so far no discoloration of the metal or my dogs fur. The only issue is it’s difficult to take on and off, a quick release option would be so much easier.

DOES NOT WORK
Was so looking forward to this working on my French bulldog since he's such a puller and we trained him on this type of leash. This collar is supposed to not discolor his fur, and it worked great for the first month. Then you could slowly see it start to tarnish and now leaves a nice black ring around his neck within a week of giving him a bath. I wouldn't waste the money on this again.

Very good collars--far better than anything I can find at brick and mortar pet supply stores. You only want curogan or stainless steel. Curogan seems to have excellent corrosion resistance and is a bit more pliable than stainless steel, making it easier to take on and off your doggie. I've never had these accidentally release, either. I won't buy anything other than Sprenger when it comes to collars.

Hypoallergenic Pinch Collar
The collar works well. I wish it had the quick release clasp, but it doesn't. It doesn't cause allergies like the stainless steel version with the quick release clasp, so it's the collar for us. It does still discolor the dog's white fur, but it just needs to be polished regularly to take care of that problem.

My dog still has a reaction
Disappointed it has changed color a bit and my dog is allergic to it unfortunately.

Best pinch collar!
We bought this to replace our Sprenger Stainless Steel pinch collar we had for 13 years and just got too loose. We just adopted a pitbull rescue and he has sensitive skin, the trainer suggested switching to Curogan and his skin is reacting much better. The quality of Sprenger collars just can't be beat, we tried a cheaper brand from petsmart, you get what you pay for. If you are serious about training your dog, Sprenger collars are a must have.
