Great for resuable charts/calendars. Better than the other brand.
I originally bought another brand to use on my daily income logs. I have three jobs, three different invoicing dates, and three different payperiod setups. In order to try to figure out what my income was each month I set up some Microsoft Word tables to fill in (easier for me than working in Excel), but was annoyed at how much paper I was wasting. I had seen the Rocket reusable notebooks and bought one of those to have a reusable calendar and was hoping I could just make a permanent template with it, but then a friend suggested I take one of the printed tables and just slip it into a page protector and use some wet-erase markers to write on it instead. It worked great, but the other brand were a bit too thick for the smaller cells in my table. I searched and found these Staedtler and they are WONDERFUL! Not only are they the perfect size tip, but the ink doesn't fade as easily as the other brand and all the colors show up well, not just the black. With the other brand, the red and green were useless to me. As they tried out they got much fainter. These Staedtler pens dry exactly as they look when you first write it. Super easy to clean with just a spritz of water and a wipe and no ghosting.

Very fine lines - worked great for laminated ToDo/Notes planner bookmark
Love how fine tipped these are. Hope they don't widen over time as I use them. The photo is of my writing on a laminated piece of paper that is my to do list/notes bookmark in my planner. I had/have Vis a Vis fine point (idk how old) l. The thickest writing (that I used for headings) is from the pen I must have been using, as it is appearing wider than the other marker I had (bottom). I wasn't happy with the Vis a Vis, so ordered these. The tiniest writing is with these pens. For reference, the paper is wide ruled (because kids have to use college ruled now, and we have a ton of it). Don't know how cleanly it comes off if it is on for an extended period, as I just received them. But in my case, since I made the laminated bookmark, if it gets too bad, I'll remake the bookmark.*12/7/2020 edit: cleanly wipes off with a damp paper towel. careful if your hand/fingers are slightly damp, because some of it will transfer to your fingers.

UPDATE: Dried up? Tips down =)
March 2021 (Original post)3 out of 4 of the pens do not work. I've only used them twice over the last month. I've kept them stored horizontally. I'll try to store them vertically with tips down to see if they might be revived. I will provide an update as I learn more....August 2021 (Update)It seems like the ink just needed a little help by gravity. Understood. Shortly after storing the pens vertically, tips down, they worked well. This is just what I need so the ink on my calendar doesn't accidentaly smudge! They are used about 4-6 times/month when updating my calendar and the pen tips have remained fine (they have not flattened) so the ink does not bleed. I feel like updating my review from 1 to 5 stars.

Used in board and roleplay gaming for 20 years and counting.
My favorite brand of overhead pen, in my favorite width for use on gaming maps. I use these pens to write on page protectors over various forms, and on laminated maps used in roleplay gaming. I've used this brand for over 20 years now, and these are the very best in my experience. No odor, refillable (if you can keep people from stealing them), and reasonably priced.Being water based, they erase with a damp tissue, or even a sweaty finger. For RPG gaming or miniatures gaming, this makes them ideal for the paperwork - a damp bit of sponge or rag is an ideal eraser. They also don't have a bad taste to me, and is non-toxic, so if I get the ink on my fingers, I don't have to worry about my snakage being ruined. The lines are clear, the ink excellent for both overhead projection and for page protector over paper form use.I've bought 4 sets of these in 20 years - 2 sets of which were stolen by SFB players, and the third lost in a move. This set compares to a Vis-a-Vis brand set - the Vis-a-Vis in the same width had smellier ink, and are not refillable, plus suffered from tip fragility that the Staedtler doesn't. And the price was the same. (Refill pots will be about $15 per color... but refill them 30 times each. Yeah, they're worth it. At least, if you can keep people from stealing them.)

Pen dried up within 1st week.
These were great, until the black one dried up. They work great, glad I didn't purchase the bigger pack. If someone sells it near me I'll purchase it there before Amazon again.

Never going back to Vis-A-Vis. And REFILLABLE? Cool!
Bought these for use in my Erin Condren planner after reading all the stellar reviews. The fine point performs so well and the color is great! The red is a little light, more of a pinky-orange, so I can imagine the yellow pen wouldn't show up much at all. A thing to note is they're not completely smudge-proof – they wipe off great with water, no staining, but the oils on your fingers/hands will smudge your writing a bit if you're not careful. I don't encounter this in daily use, but did some testing when they arrived in the mail. Overall great product, and the environmentalist in me LOVES that they're refillable! I will be looking into how to go about that once I run out of ink.

Fantastic
Exactly what I was looking for. They are nice and thin and dry very quickly which really limits smudging. I will definitely be ordering these again
