Sound Absorbing Acoustic Panel DMD 2' x 2' x 2" DMD KHAKI2

I was about to buy some panels from a different Amazon vendor until I read the reviews that their white ones were more beige/off-white. I then found this vendor and ordered 4 of the 24 x 24 x 2 panels in white. My review is for this size panel.1: They really are white - whew! I just painted my apartment white so I needed something to match2: I tested a single panel first by just holding it up against a wall and putting my ear next to it. It was the creepiest feeling since everything went dead-silent in my ear. That's how you know it does something.3. If you're getting multiple panels for an apartment for maximum efficiency and not waste money clustering a whole bunch of them together, you want to spread them out on the wall.4. Since i live in a studio apartment (and even though I own my apartment), i did not want to drill so many holes into my own wall to accommodate the z clips the seller provided. What I did instead was just buy heavy duty D rings off another vendor on Amazon and a single one worked like a charm for each of my square panels. A single heavy duty d-ring was drilled two inches down from the top middle on the back of of each panel. It works fine since the square panels are only 5lbs each.5. I put one square on the wall where my computer area is located. The other two panels I spaced them far apart along my living room wall. The 4th one I put it above my bed areaWhat this does:1. It does not block sound but it dampens it a bit. It heavily toned down the stupid echo of my long rectangular apartment. When I put my music on, it's not bouncing all over the walls either. Your music will sound clearer as a result.2. I don't really hear my noisy neighbors fighting and screaming through my walls at elevated levels. I swear they fight every night. And I'm sure they don't hear my music as much through the walls either.I'd like to thank the seller for carefully packing the panels by wrapping each one up individually. They came perfect. I will be buying more.

These things look great! I've made my own over the years out of O.C. 703, but the burlap over the corners never looks right. These are tight, professional, and sturdy. I was worried about the white not being white enough, given most "white" sound panels are ivory or cream-colored at best. These are so white that they make other white things in the room look a tiny bit dingy...and excellent "problem" to have when ordering white panels that you want to be pure, bright white, and have them deliver better than expected! As for sound, these are superb at killing anything over 500Hz, and given these are being used in a voice-over/speech-recording space, they all but kill every standing wave, leaving no echo/reverb/delay in a room that had serious background echo even when using a close condenser mic. Now I hear nothing but the original voice--no echo--in a room that's 13 x 15' with hardwood floors and very little furniture using only five 2 × 2' panels. The room even looks classier now.

My thinking is anyone buying these is paying a tax for not wanting to DIY. These are much more expensive than doing it yourself, but I knew that when I bought them. I have a few panels in the room I built myself, but I didnt feel like making any more so I bought these. They use the exact same fabric I used so I knew it would match. I like that they cover the back with thin plywood and the inclusion of the Z clips. However, I don't think they do a great job wrapping the fabric at the corners. The corners are the hardest part and I expected these to be flawless. When I do them myself I always try to get the seam to be right on the edge to give it a seamless look. But these are not wrapped that way and it surprised me that my corners look better than these. Beyond that there is not much to these and they are what they are supposed to be. Ill probably not be lazy in the future and just spend the hour or two building them myself. But for the purposes they look good enough and do the job.

The items arrived quickly in good conditioned but the pictures for the item online do not match what you receive. I debated ordering the ATS and acousticmac versions of 2x2 panels. Both pictures appear to age. Beveled edges with about the same price. However what I received are straight edges, not beveled so gives them a cheaper look than what is actually pictured for the item.

Huge difference in acoustics once these are hung. Very happy. I have usd these in profession recording studio builds in the past very satisfied
