Using these for years, great for calligraphy, fountain pen friendly, perfect for showing off ink properties

I've been using these Black n' Red notebooks for at least 3 years. As someone who prefers to keep a written record of work and personal tasks, I need a notebook that's sturdy, high quality, and durable enough to hold up when I'm on the go. These Black n' Red notebooks have fulfilled this need, with only a few minor issues.These notebooks are fairly sturdy. The hardcover protects the pages from wrinkling or tearing while in transit, while the binding ensures I never lose a page of notes. The pages themselves are bright and thick. My ink pens don't bleed through the paper, which is quite nice. I'm deducting one star from durability because I've had one or two notebooks where the spine cracked after several months of use. The vast majority, however, have held up well to the strain of a daily commute.Black n' Red notebooks aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Whether you're writing a daily journal, jotting down ideas, or just keeping track of life's daily tasks, these notebooks will help ensure that whatever you choose to put in there will last for a very long time.

I first used these notebooks over ten years ago when I picked one up in the UK - and they are still of same quality today: great size; sturdy to stack and last for years; look great on bookshelf; and the paper is smooth and wonderful for both ink and pencil. A joy to use. 5 stars all around!!

Had used Rhodia notebooks in the past, they were the standard for quality notebooks for use with fountain pens for me. But after finding these I'm quite pleased with the feel when writing on these notebooks and how well they take the ink with no feathering or bleed through. These will likely be my new standard notebooks from now on, especially if they come in a dot grid version as well. Rhodia would only be superior, for me, in the ability to tear out pages.

The books arrived quickly and are of high quality. However the packaging was just a plastic cover resulting in some wear and tear to the edges of the notebooks which was disappointing.

these are great for journaling, writing, or whatever you may want to put to paper. The paper absorbs quickly so there is less smear. Lefties would love it. There is no worrisome spiral binding that gets in the way. The look sharp and perform just as well. The ribbon marker is an extra plus. This is an instance of you get what you pay for.

Exactly as described/expected, not bad price for a pack of 3 high quality notebooks. For those that care, the paper is a tiny bit glossy, good for smooth writing, but might be too much for people with smudgy hands and gel-pens.

Sturdy and nice size for journaling.
