2017 March 24. 3 Port model with CF/SD/MicroSD slots. The first thing I noticed was that this feels like a good quality product. It has a decent weight to it, looks very nice and has a nice rubber pad across the whole of the bottom rather than the tiny rubber "feet" that these things usually have. Some people have complained that the sockets are tight - mine are not tight but the micro-SD takes a bit of a tug to get out once plugged in but it's not a problem and it goes in easy. I've tried ALL of the ports and they all work fine. The CF socket is indeed upside down, but does this matter? It works fine. The USB sockets could also be said to be upside down but actually with my USB sticks which have an activity light this means the light is facing you so I like that. When I first plugged the unit into a USB3 hub on my monitor the 3 x USB ports didn't want to play. This is fairly common though. Some devices want to be plugged directly into the PC USB3 port in order to be detected correctly and load the drivers. This was the case for me and after doing that it now works perfectly plugged into the USB3 hub on the back of my Samsung monitor. That brings me to the only slight gripe that I think would be fair comment, which is that the lead is FAR too short. What were you thinking Sabrent? I wanted this on my desk (well that's the point of it isn't it?) so if I hadn't had a monitor with a USB3 hub on it (or another USB3 hub on my desk) I would have had to have bought a USB3 extension lead because it wouldn't reach my PC's sockets from my desk. Or I'd have had to place the unit on top of my PC so bear that in mind. They state 12 inch lead so you should be prepared and in fact it is about 21 inches or just over half a metre but it is still too short Sabrent! Otherwise perfect product. For people who worry about it skidding around, stick a bit of Blu Tack on each corner like I have and it will be 100% fine. No product like this is going to be immobile! Amazon won't let me award 4.5 stars so I rounded up to 5. Nice product. I would buy another without hesitation.

I love having an Apple desktop computer it's stylish, fast and user-friendly, however having the USB and card read ports on the rear of the screen is a tad annoying. I understand why they do it, I just wish they had at least one of each on the front of the device to make swapping out memory cards that bit easier. That's why I purchased this USB / memory card hub.The Hub itself is constructed from Apple style friendly aluminium and grey metal coloured plastic with white plastic highlights. It has 3 USB ports, a compact flash. standard SD and a micro SD card reading slot. The transfer speeds from these ports is just as good as it would be from plugging straight into your Mac, and the connection is stable and strong. Thanks to its Mac friendly styling it doesn't scream out that it is there when you place it on the foot plate of your Mac, my only fault with this product is the fact that the cable is attached at the side of the hub, which for a neat freak like me is a bit annoying, it would be so much better if the cable was attached to the rear of the device, however having said that this is still a fabulous hub that works perfectly​

I've had this now for sometime and it works very well. Great for connecting USB devices to the PC. Only comment is that the USB connectors are "upside down".Card connectors work fine!Seems well constructed.

I like Sabrent's products, I only some of the SSDs and a USB 3.0 hub made by them and have been happy with both. This USB-C hub was very well priced (£12 when I bought it) and does the job nicely. I personally do not see the point in buying "premium" aluminium adapters of this nature, they all have the same electronics inside.It's a very light, fairly cheap feeling plastic construction but does the job (as always, you get what you pay for). It's nice and slim and not bulky at all, very good for travel. It functions properly and the power delivery passthrough functions as expected. The cable length is a few inches longer than most other hubs (I like this) combined with the HDMI port on the end of the "stick" means it's great for attaching external displays without the HDMI cable putting loads of stress on the USB-C connector.It works well with my M1 Macbook Air over USB-C.*IMPORTANT NOTE* this will only send 60Hz video over HDMI, regardless of resolution. If you have a high refresh rate monitor (for example I have a 2560x1440 144Hz monitor) you will need to set your computer's video output to 60Hz or you will see a black / bad image. You may think the adapter is not working, but it is - you just need to set the computer to output 60Hz and the image will appear.

Bought this specifically for a Chromecast with Google TV 4K and it works perfectly so far.Using the Chromecast stock power supply, I attached various usb devices to the hub; keyboard, mouse, memory stick and ethernet adapters and everything worked great.

Robust and beautifully finished card reader and USB hub combined.Fast USB 3.0 cable and for me a perfect combination of card readers - Compactflash, SD and Micro SD which covers all my needs. An LED indicator to show when it is connected.Tidies the desktop.Very attractively boxed if you are sending this as a gift.Highly recommended

I think the design is striking visually. It does take a bit of getting used to tho. The USB ports take cables perpendicular to the face of the unit. Memory cards go in at an odd angle, almost parallel to my desk, but not quite. At first I thought cards wouldn't go in, but they do. I guess it makes sense to have them go in at a different angle. It makes them not get "tangled up" with the USB cables. There's also a white light that's on all the time. I like it tho.

para mi gusto el cable queda algo corto, lo requiero para utilizarlo con mi portatil HP, resulta que el puerto USB-C queda del lado izquierdo, por lo que considero que o debería haber una versión con el cable del lado inverso o tener un cable más largo para facilitar el uso a personas con casos como el mío, porque aún cuando puedo usar una extensión, no creo que sea el caso tener conector sobre conector para algo tan simple.

A USB-C hub is pretty much essential if you plan to use desktop mode on the Steam Deck and aren't planning on buying a dock.You don't strictly have to get a hub, since everything from controlling the device to transferring files can be done with free software solutions, but this thing makes life a lot easier, and it's not very expensive.Since it can also do everything a dock would do for the Deck (except stand it up and make it look nice), you could get this instead to save the most money. But if you might want the dock, you don't need to get this as well.Bang for the buck purchase. Recommended for use with the Steam Deck or any general purpose USB-C hub stuff.
