RAINBOW Genuine Model PN-2E and PN-2 Power Nozzle Original Brush Roll Assembly

I have purchase two of these, and both have had an end bearings fail, like it is rubbing plastic on plastic and becomes uncentered. It is true that we have a lot of long hair in our house, and that may affect it, but I am disappointed with how short a time these lasted.

I've had my Rainbow for 35+ years and only recently had to replace the roller brush. New parts claiming to be "Original" doesn't seem correct. How could my new replacement only last 6 months compared to the previous one of 35 years? Just a side note, I sold these vacuums for a short stint in between jobs and during a weekend competition with our staff I sold 12 units from Friday night through Sunday night and my prize was a free Rainbow vacuum with all the attachments.. Still using it today. I'm taking mine to the shop tomorrow to see what they say about the rollers.
