Bought this for my boss. He loved it

Some guys own one hat that they wear everywhere, there’s a lot to be said about establishing an identity and sticking with it. Me, I’ve owned literally a couple of hundred hats, I see one and if I like it I buy it and I am very likely to do that when I am in the gift shop of tourist traps. I even have a custom one that I designed recently. I saw this and the message hit me right in the wallet, it says what I want to say, that I’d rather be fishing. That made me press the order button fast. I liked how they were so specific about how carefully they would get it to me. Reality came today when my hat was delivered, here how that stacks up to marketing hype.WHAT YOU GETMy hat was stuffed into an envelope, one of those big plastic ones. All that care they were so specific about never really happened, so of course my hat was crushed and so was I. It’s hard to damage a hat so I really don’t care, it’s just not what I expected. Neither was the hat. Read on.QUALITYFor comparison I recently got an adidas hat, which may be one of the most expensive I’ve ever bought, but the quality is superb. That’s the one I’ll wear to church and important business meetings. Side by side there is a world of difference, with the name brand winning. Not that this cap is bad, it just has it’s little flaws that for me put it down in the five buck range like I can get at the giant discount chain. The whole cap is made a bit larger than average, the opposite of what I expect from clothing from China. I had to adjust the buckle on the back quite a bit which results in a bunched up look and feel compared to the other hat. And the sweatband inside jutted out and would not stay inside like it should so I had to use a steamer to get it to stay in position. And finally, and I realize this is personal taste, I felt like the design on the front was just a little too small. Someone looking at it would have to stare for a few seconds to be able to read it, which is awkward. I like the image, it’s the lettering that is too understated. It just doesn’t seem to convey the message I would like.YES NO MAYBEIn the end this isn’t a bad ballcap. The thinks that keep it from earning five stars are the over the top price and a few small details.

My husband really would rather be sailing. He has a big head and can wear this hat at the most extended strap setting. It’s also nicely weathered, so not only can he wear it, but he does.

This hat does not work at all for my husband. It looks terrible on him. It does fit around with the adjustable clasp. However, the depth of the hat is very shallow, so it sits up very high on my husband's head and unfortunately looked ridiculous. The quality of the fabric on the hat is nice but the fit was a total no. Also, the paper backing was still partially on the inside of the sewn logo inside the hat which was a total turn off as it shows the job was not completed when it was made.

The grey color has that perfect worn-in, laid-back look, and the embroidery is clean, bold, and well-stitched. It really gives off those classic sailor/dad hat vibes in the best way.The cotton material is soft and breathable—comfortable enough to wear all day out in the sun. I also appreciate the adjustable buckle closure in the back, which makes it a great unisex fit. It holds its shape nicely and hasn’t faded after a few wears in the sun and even a light rain.Whether you're out on the water or just wishing you were, this hat says it all. Great quality, great fit, and definitely gets compliments. Highly recommend for any sailing enthusiast or as a fun nautical gift!

This baseball cap looks good, a nice weathered gray. It has the standard adjustable buckle on the rear so you can adjust the fit. The embroidered sailing badge is a nice touch. And I really like the pre-curved bill. That helps shade the sides of your eyes from the Sun. This cap keeps the Sun from beating down on your bald spot, if you have one.

I bought this for my dad, who used to like sailing, and also likes wearing baseball caps. It's a good quality cap. The shape and material are great. It arrived in good condition, not bent. The adjustment mechanism is nice, too. Overall a very good cap that should last many years!
