Spotify Gift Card

Thank you I love this spotify was trippin and wouldn't let me buy a subscription so I got one from here and I'm very thankful 🤗

Just what the kids wanted

You'd think that, like nearly all other gift cards, you could use this thing flexibly right? Surely if you give this to your kid in high school, or your college roommate, or your mom or dad, they could get more bang for their buck when using it in conjunction with the student version of premium, or the family plan.Wrong.Oh so wrong.I bought this for my fiancée for Christmas and gave it to her early as I do with so many presents, because I'm just so excited. Of course she had to set up a Spotify account, so she does and she starts the student premium plan which currently is offered with a free three month trial, after which the plan is only five dollars a month versus the standard premium plan which charges ten dollars per month. The student plan also currently includes subscriptions to Hulu (with ads) and Showtime. Obviously the student version of premium is a way better deal.Here's the kicker though, the gift card cannot be used for anything other than a standard premium subscription. No student discounts or family plans, just the standard plan. There's no real reasoning behind this as far as I could tell other than preying on unsuspecting customers like myself that made the mistake of choosing to trust that Spotify would do the right thing. Turns out I am the fool that wasted sixty dollars trying to get something nice for my fiancée.Oh and the only way we found out about this was after she scratched off the code cover and was denied the ability to use it, so we had to dig around for information ourselves to find out exactly what was going on. Yeah it says on the gift card "6 months of Premium" or whatever, but you'd still think that they'd accept the sixty dollars you already gave them toward as sixty dollars toward any plan that you qualify for. Nah, instead they trap their own users into using the crappiest version of their paid service.Please don't waste your money like I did.

redemption worked... um, nice material.the spotify app is garbage in its current form, you may need to look for an older akp.if it thinks your in a car it will annoy you for the ability to scan bluetooth, incessantly, even if you are a passenger, with your own headphones. i wonder how it handle public transportation. amongother ui problems.would not buy again until they fix the ui.
