Great for running and hugs the body very well and does not, as far as I know, cause any chaffing. It is pretty small at 10ltr but can fit my 3ltr hydration unit, some snacks, and maybe a streamlined small hot and cold drinks flask if required, so it may be fine for short to medium hikes as well. If there is one small criticism it would be that I find it a little difficult (but possible) to reach the mesh side pockets whilst wearing it, but that may be just a problem with my physiology; and besides it has some useful zipped pockets in the waist band, as well as a couple of small mesh pockets on the chest strap which are just the right size for small nutrition bars.

Almost perfect. Sits really snug and low profile, even when fully loaded, and no bouncing. Waist belt pockets are great and will take a smartphone easily. Seems sturdy. Key clip inside.I'd like a zipped pocket other than the waist belt ones, either internally or on the top, and in an ideal world it would come with a bladder and the main compartment wouldn't zip vertically. But that's really nitpicking with what is a great, comfortable, lightweight little bag that's on a par with better known brands that charge twice the price.Takes a change of clothes, lightweight jacket, phone, snack and wallet for a short run commute (not shoes though) and loads of room for bladder, jacket, snacks etc. for trail runs on the weekend.

Bought this bag for my first long distance running event. Size wise it was perfect for 1.5Lt hydration system, some snacks, light jacket, spare tee shirt, hat and gloves. It fitted really well and didn't move about too much. It also didn't over heat my back. The pockets on hip belt are really handy and even fit a smart phone. It's a well made piece of kit.
