I installed thus kit on a honda rancher 400At I did not use the factory cables but installed a right hand brake master and a 80in traded brake hose it works amazingly well I will be installed better brake pads when these wear out

1) you must get instructions off website & they only show installation, no set up or adjusting.2) once it’s on it’s either spongy and doesn’t stop like it should or the brakes get really hot. The equipment looks like good quality, but for $240 I shouldn’t have to buy more stuff to convert fully hydraulic or Jerry rig it to work.

Easy to slap on and works great

The build and concept of these brakes are great! But the pads burnt up in the first 15 mins of the ride because the piston in the caliper doesn't release pressure even with the factory return springs. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. I'm adding compression springs between the pads and a light weight spring in the piston dish to hopefully relieve pressure off the pads when the brake isn't applied. Super atv said they would warranty it but no suggestions on how to fix the issue or least the customer service rep I talked to didn't have any suggestions or seem concerned with helping figure out a solution. Would recommend this kit simply because it's cheaper then fully rebuilding the factory drum brake!

I purchased this for an 07 Honda foreman. It had factory discs on the front so i thought to upgrade the rear. The kit looked well made but did question a mechanical caliper. The kit came well packaged with all the parts. As many other users pointed out, no instructions. A little time on YouTube and I was on my way. I found out you need to file or drill out the holes in the cable brkt to remove the paint as the cables are to big for the holes. The same holds true for the opening on the caliper brkt that goes over the nut on the caliper. After installing I began to work on the cable adjustments. On the jack it appeared to hold very well. When on the ground and running was another story. While it slowed the wheeler, you could tell that locking up the rear wheel was not an option. I readjusted the cables but with no further luck. I used the had grip control with the e brake applied and the machine would crawl away if still in gear. I went to the Superatv web site and tried Customer service. I explains my disappointment with the performance and asked about a hydraulic upgrade as the caliper can be run either way. The answer I received was they don’t offer one but they have had customers inquiring in the past. I was then told there were blogs or forums out there that could help. That was it. I wrote back that I thought they would have been more concerned in my dissatisfaction rather than the go fend for yourself answer. Never got an answer back. Just venting.

Very easy to install works great

Even if the figment guide provided by Amazon says it will fit it won’t. The problem is not SuperATV’s fault. Product seems well made and sturdy, just doesn’t fit models with a swing arm even though it is stated on the fitment guide that is not generated by SuperATV that it does. Fitment guide in photo is the one I am referencing.
