Does not lighten hair
I was only trying to go a shade lighter on the brown. This was probably 2 shades lighter. In addition, it didn't change the color of the previous hair. It's true that trying to go lighter at home is very tough. Just stick to same color or darker. If anything, start light then try a shade darker each time until you hit your favorite color.
