Very pleased with this product. Shopped many choices of xylophones, this product has far superior sound, most likely due to the hollow acoustic sound box on which the keys are mounted (similar to a guitar) plus well tuned keys. Very pleased with the item delivered, outstanding for both adults and kids per its sound. The wood box is simple, not artistic/art level, but the sound is outstanding. Comes with shorter rigid-stem wood tip mallets plus longer flexing-stem rubber tip mallets, later seem to provide nice touch hitting the keys. Had a small temporary problem with the red rubber tip mallets transferring red to hands & cloth at touch (worth checking), the vendor immediately nicely replaced them with new non-staining mallets. Excellent product.

The quality on this xylophone was the biggest surprise of the 2023 Holiday Gifting Season. I got it for my 4 year old, not expecting much as far as sound quality but we were blown away. Most of Christmas morning consisted of his Composer Aunt pushing him aside to play Clair de lune or the third movement of moonlight sonata. Without a doubt, this is the best thing in our house that starts with an “X.” (Sorry Xerxes, our Pomeranian / chow mix with bladder issues).

I bought this specifically to use in a concert featuring Sam Pottle's "Jabberwocky", and it was terrific. It was perfect for the concert setting. However, it would also be a fun gift for a young child, especially one taking piano lessons.

i purchased this as a gift for a toddlerunlike the standard 25-key glockenspiel layout which starts on G, this instrument has 23-keys starting on C. the standard range results in black keys appearing in groups of 2-2-3-2-1, while on this instrument groupings become a sensical 2-3-2-3. i imagine octave equivalency will be more quickly picked up by a child playing on this layout. however, i really wish this instrument had two more keys in the upper end. this would complete a 2-octave range without messing up the black key layout.quality/quality control is alright for price. the wood of the soundbox is solid and polished, although my unit arrived with a knick on one edge. the coating of the metal of the keys feels like it will last, but doesn't appear very uniformly applied. two sets of mallets are provided, but look pretty cheap. none of the negative things mentioned affect the sound quality, which is excellent. keys are also uniform width and in tune.

The color is great and it's sturdy. Very calming when you play it. Wether you know how to play or not. But a few fun cards come with it, showing you how to play the songs. Each little slat on the xylophone has letters to help you. Love this!

Genuinely a really good quality product, worth every penny! It plays really well, very loud and clear. It even comes with its own little music cards so you can learn to play songs!! I also really appreciate that every key is numbered. Love it!!

Sound quality nice but I ordered this twice and neither set came with the pictured song cards.

You just never know. In this case, the product exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is surprisingly good and clean. The construction is excellent and safe for the little ones. The mallets are made so that the ends don't come off--excellent. I suspect I'll be buying another couple of these for more grandkids!
