Pro-Tec Athletics Medium Black SI Back Belt with Compression Pad

This is good belt for everyone having SI issues. I use it for sports and have already ordered a second one if the other one is being washed.

This mostly does what's needed (supports my hypermobile SI joint) but the glue between the strap and the metal fastener melts with my body heat so when it's tight the fastener slips round.

My Physiotherapist suggested I use a SI back belt. I don't know if I noticed any difference in having it on or not.It's not great to wear under fitted clothing as the indentations in your hips can be seen.I was rather was disappointed by the quality of the belt. After a couple of weeks of use the metal loop that you secure the belt through before fastening it with the Velcro started to slip and move. There is some sort of grip or adhesive inside the belt that should secure the metal loop in a fixed positon, it doesn't hold for very long. My husband has managed to re-position the loop a number of times but it never seems to stay in place any more.

My Physical Therapist recommended this belt to me for SI joint dysfunction. It works well and seemed to hold my joints in place and reduce my pain. My only complaint is about the sizing. I wear a women's size 4 in most brands of pants. Only occasionally am I a 6, so I went for the small size. It barely even went around my hips. I could get it to fasten but only just barely. I ended up ordering the medium and it is a much better fit. It would be better if the sizing was based on inches so one could just take a measurement rather than rely on pants sizes which vary widely and are less accurate.
