Black-eyed peas are a great food source especially if you don't live near a store. They are protein so it's a healthy nutrient to make soups with, mix with rice , try some cajun dishes with this legume. I come from southern roots so these are a staple. Cook with salt pepper,celery, add a little heat if you like, some soy sauce, a medium slab of bacon or ham or even chicken bones. And you have yourself some good eatin' .
