Excellent little clock
Great compact little clock, nice to look at, silent movement, easy to use, clear face with illuminated pointers so easy to see in the middle of the night. The alarm is easy to use, starts of with a quiet beeping and steady gets louder. It has a snooze button and a light. What more could you ask for for under £10.00?

A great little clock
This clock is a gem. Easy to use, only takes one battery, is VERY quiet but not silent and a great price. What's not to like?!

Good simple clock that works well

Excellent little clock!
I've only had this clock for a few days, so if it goes wrong I'll amend this review. But so far, it's great! I wanted something I could easily read, in pitch dark. The luminous hands are barely luminous at all - but that doesn't matter because the little light (worked from the button on top) is good, and illuminates the hands really well. I'm pleased - it took a long time to find the right clock, but (hopefully) this is it.Update: 18 months later, and it's still going strong. I love it. Completely silent, too!

Not a silent night
A nice-looking little clock and when I first put the battery in I was delighted with the silent glide of the second hand and thought I was onto a winner. But then I had to adjust the time and the movement of the clock hands obviously disturbed the second hand and from then on it made a horrible rattling sound - nothing like the comforting tick of my previous bedside clock. Clearly I received a faulty one (which I'm returning and going for a digital one to be on the safe side) but had this not been the case I'd have been very pleased.

Cheap looking and NOT silent at all
This does tick. Just more like a fast tick at a speed of about 4 ticks per second. Now I wear hearing aids for normal day to day use and without them in, I can hear this thing whirring (or ticking) away. So whilst I haven't yet tried sleeping next to it, I imagine it would be quite noticeable in a quiet room. Definitely not "silent" as described.

Very disappointing
Although the clock function worked, the very first time I tried to set the alarm the control knob came away frim the back of the clock.
