Edit: I love this little Qur’an so much, that I *think* I lost it (I thought I left it at work but I didn’t see it there today ☹️☹️☹️☹️) and so I already ordered a new one; and I’m trying not to cry. I hope I find it, so then I can give one of them away as a gift! But otherwise ... I’m just happy there were more in stock so I could order another one. Alhamdulillah. ♥️First things first: The translation is Yusuf Ali, which I had no way of knowing despite the tons of research I did online about this Qur'an. Alhamdu li Allah, it is my favorite translation so I am extremely happy as it is the one I am most familiar with, but I want to let others know in case that will sway you one way or another. Transliteration and tajweed marking are Dr. Eng. Subhi Taha and Uttoman calligraphy is by Uthman Taha.This is maybe my favorite Qur'an out of the 5 that I own so far. It is the ONLY one with English translation, transliteration, and unbroken Arabic, WITH tajweed Arabic AND tajweed transliteration! I own Qur'an maqdis (A4) as well, it is tajweed color-coded and has word-for-word translation below the Arabic, with the unbroken English translation in the margins, Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation with side-by-side Arabic, and a small Arabic mushaf (not sure of the official size, but much smaller than A4), and then Abdul-Haleem's translation (which has Arabic on each page, very close to the same size of the Arabic in this pocket Qur'an, but without any tajweed).Best part is the transliteration--I am confident enough in my ability to "sound-out" words myself that I know I don't NEED the transliteration, but it sure is very very handy as I am trying to quickly correct myself without having to look at my phone or computer or transliteration chart to triple-check myself. It's just way too handy to have the transliteration there (WITH TAJWEED!!!) as someone absolutely brand-new to Islam and learning to memorize Qur'an.Also...the size is PERFECT! I have a small make-up bag that I am using to keep it in so that it is safe inside my purse, and will always be ready for me! The English text is quite small, but I do not find it too hard to read. It really is JUST big enough to read without too much difficulty. Besides, I am personally more interested in learning the Arabic and so it is better that the Arabic text and transliteration are larger and more easily read. For me, the English is to be there mostly as a reference and support as I learn to understand the Qur'an in Arabic, in'shaa'Allah. :)It is about the size of my hand, not as long as my fingers but as wide as my palm. It is about as thick as three-fingers' width, and for reference I'm female and have smaller hands (but people say I have long fingers I guess?). There are lots of cool details you can see in the photos, like on every page w/ transliteration, there is in the left margin a chart for the Arabic letters that are only able to be approximated with dotted t's or dotted z's, for example, as well as the short and long vowels and sounds in combination like "wa" and "ya". Also, every page is labeled with the surah name on the left margin and the surah number at the top of the right margin, AND the juz/part number! SO USEFUL!!!Also, the pages are not whisper-thin. They're thin, but I am not worried about turning the pages like I am when holding a standard Yusuf Ali, where I'm afraid if I breathe on the page too hard, it will rip. Haha. These pages are definitely sturdy, and that accounts for some of the thickness, but to me, it's perfect--I know this little Qur'an will stand up to a lot of good, heavy use. Also, the binding seems really really sturdy, and there's a little ribbon bookmark attached.All in all, I am SUPER happy with this purchase, I really didn't know what to expect because I consider $20 to be pretty inexpensive for what this is, but I am overjoyed. Alhamdu li Allah, I am so happy. I will be traveling quite a lot shortly, and I know this beautiful little Qur'an is going to be my best companion on my journey(s). Even now, it's always at-the-ready, it's what I want to pick up first at a whim. My other Qur'ans are dear to me of course, but I will likely use this little one most regularly, until I want to read the English for more than 20 minutes at a time, or if I want to do hardcore study of the Arabic, at which point I'll pick up one of my English translations or the word-for-word Qur'an Maqdis.BUY THIS! You will love it!

This may become my favorite compact Quran.This edition offers the Arabic original (the verbatim word of Allah), a phonetic pronouncing of the Arabic, and an English translation. It is printed with color Tajweed rules.)As a non-Arabic speaker, the phonetic pronouncing of Arabic is quite important. But I also want to see the original Arabic, as well as an English translation. This Quran offers all three in a compact edition.By its nature as a pocket edition, the print can be very tiny. I do not have good vision at 50+ years, but the print is clear enough to read the English translation (the smallest font of the three presentations.) And it's also just plain beautiful.If I would want one improvement, it would be to have a snap-flap or a zipper. Small Qurans like this can be placed in a car's glovebox, backpack, or purse, and a snap-flap or zippered cover would help keep the pages from becoming folded or torn.I would highly recommend this edition. The book arrived so much earlier than expected. The seller was so kind to let me know. I wanted this book because I want to learn the proper way to speak the Arabic language so I can recite the Qur'an correctly. It meant so much to me to receive it earlier and to hold it in my hand. It's so cute too and can fit into a handbag or car glove compartment. The print (of the English translation) is small but I have a magnifyer because I'm old and need it. 😂I truly only care about the transliteration, which is a good size print.
