First Dinosaur Encyclopedia

We bought this for our 3yo girl who loves dinosaurs. This is a really great book for kids. (I even learned a few things from it!!!)However, there is 1 page that shows a dinosaur killing another dinosaur and lots of blood pouring out of its wounds. She was really disturbed by it and didn't want to read it again. We taped that page together and she's happy to read it again now. One other page has a T-Rex making a pretty scary face, which she's not keen on either. But she just buzzes passed that. All in all she like this book. Loves it in fact.If you're thinking of getting it, I'd recommend it, but just go through it youreslf first if your child is a bit younger or might get upset at blood or scary faces.

Bought this for my dinosaur mad 5 year old - he reads bits every night before bed. Great pics and info in it for kids. Will suit 5-9 age range easily.

Really good with lovely illustrations and lots of information. Would maybe have liked a more linear approach in the writing style so could sort dinosaurs, and maybe have them labelled. Other than that, this book is great for all ages.

They are doing a semester on dinosaurs at my daughters school so i thought i would buy this for her. It has been very useful to the point it has helped her several times with homework and have not needed to go on to the internet. Its been a long time since she was able to do that!

My 3 year old grandson, is totally into dinosaurs and absolutely loves facts about them, this book not only gives him that it also helps us grownups, give him true facts and figures. At the moment it’s just the basics but they will unveil themselves in years to come as his understanding increases.
