VERY good for price
this is my second set of boxing gloves besides the beginner ever last, and they’re really good gloves honestly, it’s easy to strap on, it’s very comfortable, I’ve used them for a while now and only SMALL cuts on it at most. The weight is 16 OZ so it’s good for sparring, it’s very durable and of course like any boxing gloves after a while the smell is a bit bad. I’m now with rivals because I’m able to afford them but these are probably the best starter gloves you can get. My wrist was hurting from my last gloves and these just kept my wrist strapped in perfectly. as mentioned before the weight is great.

Durable Gloves
The price was reasonable and the gloves have gone through a lot and still holding strong.

Leather quality poor
I've been using these for a few months now and kept them because I really like Ringside's GEL for its shock absorption. However, after about a month, I've noticed the exterior leather has cracks all over. So far, they have not split open, but this is not what I expected, since my previous Ringside GELs held up great for years. The return window has passed so I have to keep these. The other thing which I'm not a fan of is how small/short the velcro strap is. It doesn't feel quite as secure (although it probably is). But it is more difficult to take on/off with the other glove when you're already strapped in.Other than than, these GELs feel a little more stiff, not the best, but pretty good. If it weren't for the cracks, the white and grey looks great.

Great bag gloves
I’ve gone through dozens of pairs of gloves from reyes to grants. These ringside gloves are some of the best I’ve had the pleasure of wearing. Half or even a third of the price of some of the higher end gloves with better wrist support and impact protection.

Stiff, narrow and dangerous for your hands and for sparring
Feeling: Stiffest gloves I've ever worn, the fist shape inside the glove is not healthy at all, you will be not able to completely close the fist to have the correct angle between the fist and wrist.Internal Glove softness: The inner lining in the palm is soft and cushioning but awful in the knuckles, it doesn’t breathe, it’s too warm, rough and will scrap your knuckles without hand wraps. The finger section is too narrow even for small hands, there is not enough room inside to open or move your fingers comfortably.Technology: The gel pad is small and very thin, like 1 or 2 millimeters thick and is not located properly in the knuckle section of the glove, it is not a functional feature but a marketing strategy, it is a small sheet of gel sewn into the liner. The thumb section is not authentic suede leather as descripted but a kind of synthetic fabric. These are my first Ringside gloves and my last. I only tried them for 5 minutes and my knuckles are sore, injured and bruised. I returned them! But now more than 30 days have passed and RS don’t authorize the refund, I will never buy from this brand again, stay away from RS avoid further issues for you!

Gloves are really hard and tough to break in.

Great gloves for good price!
Had these gloves for almost a year exactly until they started to breakdown. I use them for bag work pads and sparring for two hours a day, six days a week. Thats about the life span of them for the frequency I use them. For others it may be more or less. First thing that started to go was the color from the area of contact. The red dye started being taken off leaving a dark grey color. The color issue might not happen with black gloves. After that the IMF gel started to break down leaving knots/bumps all over the glove punch area, a bunch of small ones and a few huge ones. Again I abused the gloves everyday! Today they dont look pretty at all but with that being said they're still far above average in the function department! Im only retiring them because of looks and its starting to show signs of inner foam breakdown (bits of foam on my handwraps). I love the fit of ringside gloves theyre not just only padding for your fist but also great padding and support for your wrist and forarm! I cant say enough about the fit and comfort. Also it is super fuctional for sparring! Theyre slimmer and sleeker but dont sacrifice protection. The padding is a great density not so soft your knuckles peirce through yet not so firm it hurts you or your training partners. Overall the glove is a super nova, it was spectacular the entire time but the lifespane of the gloves isnt that long, about a year. Ringside is still my favorite brand as far as looks and function. Ive already ordered the pro IMF trainning gloves for my next pair! No regrets on these gloves!
