OliveNation Organic Cranberry Beans, Dried Borlotti Beans, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Kosher, Vegan - 1 pound

In the part of Europe my family originated from these are considered to be "basic beans" or "painted beans"(what Spanish people called the Pinto bean). Other types of beans are unheard of or are not popular.Spanish company Goya calls these "Roman" or Romano beans, and this is what we bought until we wanted them to be only Organic. I have seen the dark colored variety be called "Fire beans" and light colored variety be called by their Italian name - "Borlotti". Olive Nation seems to sell both as "Cranberry" beans - as 2 different bags had color variations(some had cream colored skin others had a "tan" color - "specks" were identical red/pink/purple). They turn brown when cooked.An Indian(from India) company[manufacturer] on Amazon calls these Pinto beans, but they are different.These are my 2nd favorite beans after having tried Anasazi beans.Edit 11/17: I would buy these beans from the seller's website(Olive Nation) for discounts on shipping and bag sizes. 5 pounds is better than 1.
