Here I am a few weeks later -- after buying the stand. I love it. Before I purchased, I read through dozens of related product's specs. I read through each one of their comment sections -- looking for both the complaints and also the compliments. I am aware of some of the complaints in the 1 and 2 star sections about this product, but I either disagree with those people or haven't experienced any of them myself.I have nothing but compliments for this product. I got this stand, because my 16" MacBook Pro gets hot when it's hot outside -- go figure. The nicest and most unexpected part about the stand is the ergonomics. It elevates the laptop much higher than merely on the table. It has helped my back and neck to feel better, as I'm on the computer a lot for school. There's a lot of height settings to choose from. I've heard some people say it's not meant to sit in your lap. While I'd say its better on the table in front of you, it is possible and not uncomfortable for me, but I'm 6'1, so if you're smaller, you may not have the same results as myself. My laptop sits perfectly on the stand -- with about 1 centimeter on either side and the rear is practically flush.I like the RBG lights. You have 10 different modes to set the lights on. The fans aren't loud. It says it's as loud as a whisper and I'd agree that's true. I can barely hear it running at fan level 1 (it goes up to 6). I like that it folds up about the size of a laptop. I've had no issues and the quality seems like it will last a while -- assuming you know how to take proper care of your possessions.Contrary to popular opinion on Amazon, MacBook Pros have two intake ducts and one exhaust duct. The intake ports are the little slits along either side of the machine and the exhaust duct is on the backside of the hinge. When the laptop is positioned on the stand, there is a slight air-gap between the two. This gap allows for the cooling. The stand's fans blow on the bottom of the aluminum laptop and the air wraps around and gets sucked into the laptop's intake ducts, and out the exhaust. The stand's baseplate is also aluminum and (as most people should know) aluminum cools off fast as it doesn't retain heat. The stand is well-designed to accommodate these functions of the 16" MacBook Pro and none of the ducts are blocked -- in fact, they are all in synergy.Some features I'd like to see in the newer model:--ability to toggle the lights on and off without unplugging the stand. Right now you can turn the fans up/down, fans on/off, and toggle through 10 settings of RGB lights, but not the lights on/off.--option to choose from an usb-a to usb-a cord or an usb-a to usb-c cord. I have an adapter which converts usb-a to usb-c, so I was able to use the cord provided.--a spot on the stand to hold the cord when storing the stand. You already have a spot to secure the little piece that holds the laptop in place -- when not in use -- but a cord holder could help.--perhaps a way to secure the stand to the laptop while they are together -- i.e., a way to lock the laptop onto the stand, but idk how you'd make a universal laptop lock, so I'm sure that will give your engineers a "fun" project.--seriously I'm at a loss for anything else. I like the machine. Everyone who sees it likes it, it looks professional, it cools off my laptop, it helps my back, neck and shoulders to feel better, and the lights are nice too.Don't hesitate, buy it now. If you have any concerns, buy the product warranty for the few dollars extra and sleep well at night.

Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend as he's a daily pc gamer and his pc would get extremely hot. He loves it, he can relax in the bed while placing the fan on his lap and the pc on the fan and he doesn't have to worry about it burning his leg off. It has a wonderful stand that works great and allows you to place the pc in an almost upright position which is awesome when using a gaming chair and you want the perfect position to play comfortably. The color settings are awesome and bright, you have a lot of color options but we love the multi color the most it looks so cool ! The only thing I would change, if anything, is how you turn it off. It can be a little frustrating turning it off until you get the hang of it, we leave it plugged up to the computer now so when the computer goes off it goes off and it works perfectly. All around great idea and best bang for your buck at my time of purchase. It definitely drops the temperature as it's intended and also gives you that space between you and the pc so you can't get burnt either way. Hope this helps ! The noise level is great for the amount of money you will spend on it, you'll be happy with the purchase.

I really love the way it cools down my laptop. In fact, I bought 2, one for my wife and one for me. As soon as they arrived, I connected them to the laptops and from the beginning they kept them quite cool and working better. In the past I had had a similar one, but I think this one is better made. It looks stronger and an additive is the LED lights with different colors. My wife especially loved that part. For me, more than anything, you can have different heights and accommodate the laptop much better. It is not very noisy and sometimes I don't even realize if the fans are on or not.

I love the cooling fans, the lights, etc. But the longer of the two legs that fold out broke off on day #2. They seemed loose to begin with, only attached at a single point. So it wobbled like a loose tooth from the start, then broke off.The air circulation is much better when the laptop is elevated a bit, and with the broken legs it cannot raise up. Thus, the cooling feature is not as good as if the legs were still attached. My laptop runs H-O-T and locks up if not kept cool. All other features of this item are fabulous though.

The media could not be loaded. Very good. There is a normal amount of noise level and provides a nice amount of cooling. This is definitely a great companion for gaming laptops. The lights are just the icing on the cake, they have many different modes and look very bright. The product does not feel cheap. I'm very satisfied.

It’s very quiet with lots of different light settings that fit whichever preference I want!! It also regulates my laptops temperature at a cooler level helping my games to run better. Overall I would highly recommend, for the price you get more than what you asked for.
