KW3A Microwave Oven Door Switch 16A 125/250V Door Interloc (2 Normally Open and 1 Normally Close)

Our RV microwave started tripping the circuit breaker occasionally when opening or closing the door. One day, it died hard-over. Microwave would trip the breaker immediately after the breaker turned on. Put 2 and 2 together and decided it must be the door switch(s). Decided to give it a try replacing the switches because if it worked and was much cheaper ($8.99) than a new microwave ($300). Took a bit of time to figure out how to take the microwave apart to get to the old switches. After figuring out which switch went where, we replaced them. Total time to take microwave apart, replace switches, and put the microwave back together was ballpark 3 hours or so. It was not that hard to replace the switches. Much of the time was figuring out how to get to the switches - which panels and screws to remove. Had to keep track of which screws went where to make it easier to put it back together. Microwave works great again! Saved a bundle of money in exchange for a few hours of time. Definitely worth it for us.

These work great, ensure you install the two normally open and the one normally closed in the right places. Change them all.

Relatively easy to install and got my microwave back up and running on the cheap. I'm happy! Not so happy that my relatively new microwave over needed a repair already, but happy that it was pretty simple and inexpensive to complete.

This was a mess for me but it wasn't the switches fault. My microwave kept blowing fuses and circuits when we opened the door. Finally it stopped working and the circuit wouldn't turn back on. I replaced the switches with these. I recommend watching a YouTube video and be careful as I broke some tabs. I eventually got them in and got the microwave working again. Unfortunately the fuses continue to blow when we pull the door open.

These were an exact replacement for my GE microwave oven

The first switch wouldn't align for the door hook closure to make contact. Kept trying a number of things to make sure it was in properly. After at least two hours of frustration, decided to try another switch from the package. Installation for the defective one and the second one were simple. Immediately, the second one worked perfectly. Wish I'd tried another switch sooner. Sharing my experience in case others run into issues. It may not be you, it might be the switch.

For us just one of the switch on my GE Profile(9yr old) microwave gad gone bad. OEM brand was Starion, . I replaced all three switch just incase. Appears these switches can go bad based on the following condition1. Excessive moisture due to heated food left unattended.2. Open the door without turning off. apparently there is a spark generated doing so that over some period of time will cause buildup and fail.Hope these last longer.
