Love it!
I use this to strain 5-gallon buckets of paint. It does a great job and is much easier to use and clean than the nets I previously used. This product saves me time and aggravation. So far it has held up very well, but it seems a bit lightweight and I'm concerned about how long it will last. For the money, it is a great bargain.

The Cat's Pajamas
These filters are really nice... easy and effective. I bought them for straining paint [in a third world country] in front of a paint spraying system and they worked great in the field. These are easy to clean and durable The company offers various mesh options... the 600 micron was perfect for exterior latex paint. (The paint quality "there" was pretty low quality compared to even the economy paint in the USA).The Cat's Pajamas...well, that's what my Grandma would have said. ;)

honey strainer-works
Used to strain raw honey from extractor. Worked perfectly with room warmed honey, would recommend even thou some reviews said the mesh was too fine. It worked and was a reasonable cost. Only negative was did'nt read the fine print and thought bucket was included, aside from that worth it.

Good but not tough
Could be stronger, it's very frail

Quality item, but research filter size needed. Not final stage for fuel.
This filter is a quality product for use with 5 gallon buckets.Use 1 micron for final fuel filtering. It is made of plastic with a glued on filter element. It has a vent built into the side of it, but I can't see the need for it as I feel it would be difficult clog it's 11" diameter with any fuel liquid. I think the 600 size would probably filter mollasses okay and even the 200 filters fuel pretty fast and probably filter thick paint just fine. If somehow you could clog it, it should be draining enough to pull liquid and air through the filter anyway and not need the vent. In my opinion, it is strong enough for liquids and if you just poor liquids into it without pushing or scrubbing on the filter media. It is just plain physics that the finer the filtration, the slower the flow.On one review, not sure which model, someone said it did not drain/filter fast enough and was not strong enough. I don't see how any of those things are possible without being careless. Besides this filter is only for a 5 gallon bucket which seriously can't take that much time out of your life (< 1 min.) To filter liquids. Maybe he was filtering mud. Even the 200 micron I used together with this 600 filtered fuel as fast as I could pour with lots of room to spare. If you just dumped the bucket upside down like dowsing a fire, I would think any filter would splash all over with that kind of carelessness.NOT FOR FINAL FUEL FILTERINGLast, but not least, you will need less than 100 micron size (not sure exact size needed) for final fuel filtering. When I bought these filters, the smallest offered was 200 micron and when filtering, the 200 still left sand in the bucket (i contaminated 5 gallons of fuel oil mix).

Homebrew Strainer!
Fits nicely into standard 5 gallon bucket. This works well for filtering hops (pellet) out of chilled wort. (Results with whole hops may differ.)Cleans easily after use.Sanitized with bleach solution and rinsed prior to use. Please note that "Maximum Continuous fluid Temperature: 180°F"I'll be curious to see how well it holds up under repeated use.

Use for honey
This works great for honey. Just give it some time. I had some honey that was in the very first stage of crystallizing that plugged the filter. had to drain all the honey out and clean the filter before using again. Not the strainers fault. Just a heads up. Works fantastic.
