We used this for our annual family trip to Mackinac Island. Highly recommend and would buy again! It paid for itself with 3 uses and is something we will use for several years with our young family. Easy to install, great pull, welds and paint was good, tire and parts were good quality, and easy on/off. The kids still talk about their “double bikes” and we love making the memories with them ❤️🚴‍♀️ High recommend!

Awesome awesome awesome! I can’t count the number of smiles, thumbs-ups, and “cool bike” comment we got on the trail!We took our granddaughter on a 6.5 mile ride to a local park and home again and the addition of the co-pilot didn’t noticeably affect the e-bike’s performance—no trouble keeping it at top speed even with the extra weight, and we didn’t notice the battery running down any faster than normal either. Impressive because we live at the top of a long, steep hill and had some smaller hills and valleys along our path! (Idk if that’s a better testament to the Kazam co-pilot or the Aventon Aventure though.)My 5-year-old granddaughter cannot yet balance on a regular bike, but she was just fine on the Kazam co-pilot! It works great on my husband’s Aventon Aventure e-bike, but it would be difficult to attach to mine because my seat is too low.The other great thing is that the co-pilot still has plenty of grow-room in it too. For our 5-year old we put seat and handlebars pretty close to their lowest level, so it looks like it will still fit her for at least another couple years. She loved it so much; I wish Kazam would make a larger model for older kids or even adults!

This is very helpful for a younger child who can't ride a bike fully on their own because of hills and getting stuck. It was pretty easy to put onto the bike, but we have had problems with it loosening at the attachment on the bike seat. The bar doesn't move very far to the sides, making it very hard to turn the bike without it moving the attachment and making the kid ride slanted. The other problem is that my bike seat sits very low to fit me, but you really need the attachment high on the seat or it will rub the bar on the back wheel and you can't go up or down the tiniest bumps without the bike completely stopping and getting stuck. The pics show how far it can go to the side and the minimum amount of space the bar needs over the back wheel (through trial and error). You can sort of feel when the kid is helping pedal, but it is a lot of weight to tow! Overall very fun once you work everything out.

This thing is getting non-stop use by my 7 year old and husband. It’s awesome, and bonus: helped her ride a two-wheel bike in no time (this helps them get the feel of balance way better than a balance bike)! I appreciate the neon flag at the back for extra visibility/safety on busier streets.

You will see several other reviews here stating that, despite the existence of a joint to allow the trailer to swivel during turns, the seatpost clamp on this trailer actually rotates to the sides when you ride. Those reviews are correct, but I just want to emphasize that this is not simply an annoyance--it's dangerous.The more the clamp rotates, the more the trailer rides behind you at a tilt. After leaving my driveway and making a broad turn down the street, my daughter was already riding at a dangerously-tilted angle behind me. Rotation around the seatpost occurs when you turn your bike to *any* degree--even a very wide, slow turn will cause the clamp to rotate significantly. The only way to straighten it out again is to turn in the other direction, or undo all four clamp bolts and reinstall it (but it will rotate again when you start riding).I could not find a way to prevent this rotation from happening. I tried tightening the clamp to a higher torque (the instructions did not include a torque spec for these bolts). This destroyed the plastic on the inside of the clamp and damaged my seatpost (see photo). And as other reviews have warned, once I tightened it to a certain point, it did not fix the problem but simply caused my ENTIRE SEATPOST and saddle to rotate any time we made a turn, rather than just the clamp itself--which presents an even more dangerous situation and risked further damage to my bike.Even if you plan on riding exclusively in a straight line, I still would not recommend attaching this trailer to a bike or placing a child on it. And even if you are willing to take the risk I've described here, I still would not recommend the product for the following reasons:1. It arrived in a damaged box, with some superficial damage to the trailer inside, and a lot of dirt and even what appears to be some rust on the joints (see photos)2. The plastic "pads" on either side of the seatpost clamp were already compromised (see photo), but will be damaged upon installation in any event.3. Several of the bolts have torque specifications, ranging from 13nm to almost 30nm. The instructions tell you this, but if you don't own an adjustable torque wrench, you're going to have to just hope that you're torqueing them correctly.4. Installation was not easy, in general, with two adults working together. It's heavy and cumbersome.5. The deal-breaking defect in the seatpost clamp design does not present itself until you have already assembled the entire thing. Disassembly was not easy, and packing the product up for a return is going to be difficult because there were a lot of zip-ties and foam padding that we had to remove during assembly. I emailed Kazam asking for instructions or advice, and they replied that they couldn't help me.

I’m updating my review here after nearly a year of ownership, because this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made as a father. My 8-year old and I ride this very often, and gosh is it fun! The bar doesn’t interfere with panniers, so I can still carry a lot with no fuss. If only I could get her to peddle the whole time!
