Sunpentown Mini Thermo-Electric Dehumidifier, Multi

I bought to reduce Mildew inside a stored car. I put 1 inside a parked car that is roof covered, but not side enclosed to keep the humidity down so mildew cant grow for the several months I store the Lexus with the doors shut, outside. The RH went inside dropped from 63% to under 38% in 2 days, and has stayed there. Excellent 12V 5A power supplies with long AC & DC cords (I lay the PS w/Green-LED out-car the concrete, and run the 12V inside under the door seal to the SD-350 that sits on the center console (with another Green-LED) and I can see at a glance if the container is full. It has been weeks now and it is still not full of water, but it is nice to look over at the Lexus and see the greenLED on the outside, and the GreenLED on the inside and know that everything is running perfectly normal. The water pail is transparent and you can see how full it is thru the windows in any case.

Bought this for my apartment room which suppose to work for its size. However, I had it on all night and collected only 1/4 inch of water. Very disappointing. It's also not as quiet as described.Open it up and you can find how poorly designed hardware it is inside. You would be surprised if it works...

Excellent products, it works very good, in 3 hours collects 1 inch of water. I have 4 and all works very good.

Purchased this to remove moisture from the bathroom especially while family showers. Does the job well quiet. Have chrome shower rod, shower caddyetc, had noticed they started getting small rust spots. Since using the Sunpentown SD-350 60-Watt mini dehumidifier, the spots have not progressed nor multiplied. If quiet, sometimes too quiet, my boys forget it's on at times and it ends up running all night. Had this since March of this year, the collection container has never been full even though it runs daily. We live in the southeast, and are a family of four. Takes about an hour for the air to "feel" dry after we have all showered. Not bad at all for a $50.00 dehumidifier. Also, it doesn't take up much space and the black color actually blends well with our espresso, tan, and sky blue bathroom color scheme. It sits on the side of the sink and many people never even notice it! My bathroom is on the small side, 7x10ft

I bought two of these for a small bedroom and bathroom. I don't run them constantly, just when the humidity detector I use says that I need to turn them on. They worked well for almost a year. I thought it was maybe the cord, but when I looked for a replacement cord, it was expensive, so I bought a whole new unit in order to have a good cord and three potential good humidifiers. I bought this new one in January of this year. 8 months later it has died. That is inconveniently a few months past any type of warranty. I am an optimist but even I know when to give up. A 55.00 machine should last more than a year. I know that we have become a disposable society, but this is ridiculous! I bought a huge dehumidifier for the large bedroom and its still doing just fine. So, after spending over $150.00, I'm done with taking chances on this company. The product worked well while it lasted, but, for this price, I'm looking for something that lasts for over a year.

I purchased this SAME product about 2-3 years ago for an 8x10 basement closet. I LOVED it! However, it worked for only about 2 years & stopped even though I didn't used it much in the winter months. Even so, I STILL purchased another one which I am now reviewing.In my opinion, it should have a longer lifespan than 2-3 years, but I thought I would take a chance & purchase another anyway. Only time will tell.Also, when first using this product, it emitted a strange odor, but I don't remember the first one doing that. Thinking back, I should have plugged it in the garage or another location until the odor was gone.This product would have received a 5 star rating from me, if the first one had lasted longer.

The dehumidifier is small, sleek and silent. Extremely silent. I can't say if it captures all the humidity, but I know that is does somewhat because the canister always has water in it. I do recommend this item be used in small rooms though. I love the look of it and how silent it is.

I have a tiny little bathroom (it's also the laundry room) with no A/C. This mini dehumidifier helps keep the humidity down so I can get ready in there without completely melting. Mind you, it's NOT A/C. When it's hot, it's hot. But it's noticeably less humid than it was without this unit.
