Impressed
I hadn’t heard of this product until I received a diy arrangement from a florist I know to be eco friendly and the instructions listed a block of Agra wool. It was easy to use and did the job so I ordered this from Amazon. I must say I was very impressed with ease of use, water retention etc so it will be a very useful tool along with chicken wire etc in my flower arranging armoury. Great to find an environmentally friendly oasis substitute

Impossible to use and irritates skin
This is impossible to use for flower arranging. You cannot get even the sturdiest stems into it. It is a very poor substitute for normal florist's foam. The description says it does not irritate the skin but it does. It's sharp fibres have hurt my hands and caused irritation. I really can't see any difference between this product and the rock wool insulation I used to sound-proof my flat - apart from the fact the insulation came with clear instructions about the need to protect the skin when handling. I really cannot recommend this product. Please avoid.

Expensive
Ordered this to try as an alternative to Oasis/Chrystal floral foam to try and be more eco-friendly. Found it difficult to push stems in, it did hold a lot of water, but positioning flowers wasn’t easy.

Not a substitute for oasis
The only good thig about this product is that it is biodegradable and can be thrown away on the garden. It does not retain the water above the water level, is not easy to get the stems in , impossible with delicate stems, and does not retain its shape when wet, requiring wrapping in chicken wire to stop it disintegrating. With the cost being so much more than oasis I shall be resorting to pin holders and chicken wire in future.

Biodegradable
I am using this product for flower arranging. I am the chairman of a Flower Arranging Club. I am trying to encourage my members to also use this product. It is different from oasis to use but I have had several goes and done a variety of arrangements and have learned a few techniques. It will take time to master the use of agrawool but it is worth it if is going to help save the planet. My little contribution!

Interesting product!
As a wedding florist, I'm keen to be as environmentally friendly as possible - and this product could be the answer to using the traditional florist foam which doesn't biodegrade. It is more expensive - but that's a trade-off I'm happy with! Easy to work with - I have lots more experimenting to do with different types of bouquets and arrangements but so far I'm impressed!

Use dry then add water to the arrangement.
Not easy to put stems into the brick. Use dry, then add water. It holds a lot of water and therefore flowers do last a little longer than usual.
