This clock offers all! Well made “ metal”, brass. Finally an alarm clock that is not plastic. Quality, character and functionality have returned. I decided to leave the back off for easier access to the control panel. I will store the back piece in the case and put it back on if I am no longer using it as an alarm clock. The alarm is loud and easy to turn off by pushing the knob on the top. No more struggles to find a tiny little switch in the back to shut off the alarm when you are half asleep. It is solid and heavy so you will not knock it on the floorWhen you go to turn it off in the AM. EASY common AA battery installations. Crescendo alarm if you do not wake up easily, starts out slower. First of all, this is a substantial, elegant, heavy clock. That said, it is unusable. First of all, it is jammed into its presentation case and is difficult to remove. It had to be pried out. Once out of its case, I found it impossible to remove the back to insert batteries. I gave up, not wanting to damage the clock and make it unreturnable. I don't know if it was just the particular clock I received, but judging from other reviews, the difficulty in opening the clock is a design flaw.

Beautiful. Antique finish. Packaging is as pretty as the clock. I am using it in my bathroom which is just as well since it has a very loud ticking if you plan to use in a bedroom. Something to consider. It’s not very large so check the space toy want it to go. Also, read earlier remark….it has a a lot for two batteries, but only need to insert one…in the top slot.

This brass anniversary clock comes highly recommended! It is well-made, sturdy and quite charming. Personally, this clock will serve as a perfect adornment to a pile of wedding anniversary gifts I plan to present to my dear wife in a few weeks. Parts were missing and did not work

Packaging is spectacular. Very heavy, well made, will become an heirloom piece.Thought it to be a bit pricey but upon receiving it...well worth the price. Would be a very nice gift.

... and parts fell out. And couldn't be put back in. Complete junk.

Battery compartment was almost im possible to acccess and needed a specail little round battery meaning a search around shops for it or on line...not what customer wants to do
