This brand delivers what it promises- the quality is great and the rice can be as fluffy (for serving with Thai curry or in a fried rice) or as soft and mushy (for sticky rice and mango pudding/dessert) as you wish. The cooking instructions on the packet are perfect - the fluffy rice is done in about 12 mins and another 2 mins yields thicker and softer grains. You need to rinse the rice once done or else the starch is a bit too thick and gives you congee like texture. Do remember that if you leave the zip lock packet open it can lead to oxidization and yield slightly yellow tinted rice (happened to me when I cooked 2 batches with a gap of a few hours as I forgot to seal the packet properly). The aroma is great and the texture too.

If normal basmati rice tastes 6/10, this Jasmine Rice tastes 7.5/10.I really like the aroma of this rice.Is the aroma worth for a slightly better taste at an expensive price?No.

Was keeping the rice for some special occasion and regretted this decision. There's nothing special about this rice it's actually "ushna (sella) basmati". If you want to try genuine Jasmine rice, ask your local grocery shop to procure some that will be way more satisfactory than this.Quality: 2/5 ( only because it resembled a bit of Basmati Rice)Taste: 2/5 (same reason as above)Aroma: 0/5 ( the rice was basically odourless)Stickiness: 1/5 (had to forcefully induce this character to get a feel of Jasmine rice)
