Bought for ME, a big kid
I am in my 50's and have a grandson age 7 that is winning local tennis competitions. I decided it was time I try to play some tennis since it is great exercise and fun.I quickly discovered that the regular balls are too fast for me. I can barely hit them and don't have good control. I also have some problems with my wrist and the hard (regular) balls kind of ricochette that energy through my wrist, arm, and then up my shoulder. These balls make tennis a lot more fun for me. I can SEE the balls since they are so bright. I can HIT the balls since they don't come at me so ridiculously fast. The balls don't hurt me (since they are softer) to hit or get hit by them. I don't know if I'll ever have a reason to switch. These provide plenty of challenge and make playing fun. I'd say they are for kids of all ages!

Great balls, that have less bounce; therefore, move slower. They are great to help improve your game. Only downside is how bad they SMELL.

10 and 7 Year Old Kids love them
This was the balls suggested and used by the tennis trainer for my kids. If your kid is absolutely brand new, try Gamma Quick Kids 36' Tennis Ball (12-Ball Pack, Yellow/Red) which should be the first starting point. Any coach who starts with a regular yellow ball for under 10 kids, like my first coach did is a fake. Kids need to feel the rhythm and power of their shots before going into the next level. Also If you dont mind spending little more money and not spend time picking balls, please get Wilson Ball Pickup 75,I promise you will not regret it.I have bought about 48 balls so far and they seem to last fairly well. One of the best healthy investment in South Florida where there are plenty of tennis courts for year round play!

Excellent for new tennis players
This tennis ball is a bit slower and has less bounce, perfect for new tennis players or children starting out.

Works gret for my 5 year old
My 5 year old daughter wanted to play tennis. I took her out with regular tennis balls. She did pretty good for a beginner 5 year old. The 3rd time we went out a tennis coach let us use his Gamma Quick Kids balls. I was amazed at how much better she hit these. She had a lot more time to set up as these are a lot slower. I immediately ordered some and she loves them. I bought 48 (4 of the 12 packs) and a hopper to put them in. She has more time to hit the ball, which makes her hit better shots, which makes her have a LOT more fun and want to go out and pay even more. I am sold on these.

NOT AS GOOD AS WILSON
My son has moved up from the red balls to the orange ones. For the red balls, we were using the Penn QST 36 so this review is in comparison to that ball as well as the Wilson Orange Dot which his coach uses. When these arrived, I was pretty excited to get on the court and start practicing with these new balls. However before getting to the court, I noticed a couple issues.1) This ball seems slightly smaller than the red Penn's that we were using.2) The bounce only seems slightly more than the red Penn's and not what it should be for an orange ball. These balls will do if in a pinch, but there are better ones out there.
