Presidium Adamas Diamond/Moissanite Tester Package USB Charger and Optional Replacement Tip

This is the better of the handheld testers out there. However, although it states that it can tell the difference between moissanite and diamonds, that's not entirely true. The newer stones are close enough that, in my experience, You need an additional quantitative test. If you are only buying this to tell the difference between a moissanite and a diamond then I would not recommend this. If it's an overall test for CZ or other stones that are not diamonds, then I would recommend it, but you're going to need additional verification. Also the test plate that comes with it really only holds small stones. Even the one carat was wobbly when applying pen pressure, again, something that can affect results. This company also has a UV tabletop testing kit. Before buying this, depending on your needs, take a look at it. Also take a look at other companies that are selling them tio for cost savings if needed.

i try many diamond tester this one seems to work well at the start as a few weeks then it got a hard time to detect diamonds or not take a long time to detect. Here is the kicker less than 5 months battery no longer holds I have to keep it plug in to use it and cross figure hope it works.For this price of diamonds tester, this is PURE SCAM .. i could not find a way to contact someone for fix or replacement ..

Item came very well packaged. The manufacture packaging is very pristine looking. It looks very classy and elegant. The unit includes a calibration disk and diamond holder. (Not mentioned on the website) The unit came with a power adapter which can be plugged into a household 110 volt outlet, or you can plug it into your computer for use via USB port. (This is supposed to be optional, not included) You can install 3 "AAA" batteries, which is supposed to last for 12 hours of continuous use. Included in the shipping box was the extra replaceable Micro-tip to be used to authenticate colorless diamond melees as small as 0.01 carats. The Adamas is supposed to be the first diamond tester of its kind to use this Micro tip. These tips can be easily interchanged. (The Presidium website says that this tip is optional and does not come with the Adamas unit) Another BONUS!!!I read the instructions, which were very easy to understand. I calibrated the unit, then tested all of my diamond rings that I own. The Presidium Adamas quickly recognized my diamonds as authentic. I think this will be a very useful tool in purchasing diamonds in the future, as the advancement in technology continues to create diamond simulants, which are getting harder and harder to distinguish from authentic, genuine diamonds.I am extremely pleased with this product and I am excited to go diamond hunting with confidence!As a consumer that wants to buy the best products available, I will not be shy in investing in a product that will save me lots of money. Purchased this tester based on reviews.First it acted up, which i ignored.Then after changing the head out the first time, the calibration went fine. The put the original head back on messed everything up and now I can't use this testerSo, we have a tester that endlessly beeps. Doesn't trouble shoot. Doesn't test. Only a 30 day amazon warranty.1 year product warranty from Taiwan.Needless to say. Watch out before buying this testerDon't replace the heads.....

Poor quality, not worth the money. Does not Differentiate diamonds from mosinetes and vice versa. Fragile tip as well.

Tests diamonds as Moissanite when it’s a known diamond. Can’t trust it. I was hoping if I spent more I’d get a great tester. Nope.
