Coghlan's Seam Seal

I love my tent and didn’t want to get rid of it so I use this on every seam on the tent and it’s working great. No leaks no drips. Easy to apply, low odor, and now it’s All sealed up and happy camping!

This stuff works great and is competitively priced! You just can't beat it! It dries mostly clear and is super flexible. Seals great, dries fast, and doesn't smell too bad when applying. Once it's dry you can't smell it anymore. I can't speak for the longevity of the seal it creates, since I hadn't tested it further than one camping trip thus far but, I imagine it will last for several years before needing another application. Works great ! Only thing I don’t like is that it does not dry with a clear finish. It dries with a darker finish than the fabric it is placed on. At least mine. Canvas on my boat is tan. This dried much darker leaving a very visible “line”. But it did fix the leak !

Worked great! No leaks yet! Was a little messy with built in brush which I don't mind. It is easier than the syringe technique, but that's technique is the cleanest way to seam seal.

We bought a new dome tent. 7ft x 7ft. This is a summer tent, with lots of screening, so there are not a whole lot of seams to seal; just the rain fly and some edge seams. There was barely enough to seal the seams on this tent. You may need two bottles depending on the tent. The applicator doesn't help. The product was coming out really fast at first. Had I known how stingy this is I would have been much more cautious with applying it at the outset to make sure I had enough. Be careful to apply only what you need. It takes quite a while to dry, longer than the package states.

The most durable yet flexible seam sealer I've used on fabric. Much better than the brand with the orange cap.I go through at least 50 bottles a year. I use it on the binding and shoulder gussets on waterproof horse blankets and sheets. Keeps my horses very dry, even in the pouring rain, or blizzards. Lasts through at least one washing. Wish it came in a bigger size. I would buy it by the gallons!

I'm very impressed with this product...easy to apply with the brush tip, did not discolor the tent material it was applied to, or change the flexibility of the seam. Always follow the manufacturer's directions for use, but in my case, I elected to apply a thin layer of the sealer to both the inside and outside seam before treating the body of the tent with waterproofing spray. Also, my perspective is that compared to other products, this Coghlan's Seam Sealer is a very good value for the money. Happy Camping! Stay Dry!
