Jura Cool Control, 34 ounces, Black

I was on the fence about this thing for years. I'd read reviews and finally decided to try it. It is so expensive, but It's a game changer if you use milk. It may sound silly, but having an instant milk feed for your Jura is easily the best thing, since Jura.Before this I used the basic Jura milk glass. I used it every day, cleaned it, put it in the fridge and then took it out every morning to put milk in again. This is a first world problem, but one we can now solve with money and engeering. You can go from thinking about your milk every day, to once a week or so.This unit stores (I have the 34oz one) about 32oz of milk which is roughly half a carton. Contrary to some super misleading reviews I've read, it's completely safe to put milk in and leave it for the life of the milk. In other words, you do not need to change it every day. Once opened a quart of milk will last about 5-7 days in the fridge. The life in the Jura unit will be the same. It is after all, a fridge. How often you need to clean the until will depend completely on how much milk you use - for me, it's once a week.As for cleaning, this is a nice stainless container. Easily cleaned with hot water. The milk tube you wash same as ever, a simple milk cleaning cycle once a day.The unit itself is nice looking, easy to use and keeps the milk cold. USDA recommends milk stay under 45 degrees - I've never seen this until go above 40. It keeps a constant temp of 35-40. When cleaning, my recommendation is empty the stainless container, clean and put it in empty. Wait for the temp top drop below 40 before refilling with milk which takes about 30 minutes.I appreciate the easy to read temp on the unit. You can always check what temp it's at. Easy to read level units. 1-4 units let you know how full it is. When it goes red, you have 1-2 drinks max left before it's truly empty. There is an optional Wifi insert that will connect to your machine which I find, silly and unnecessary.As a fan of Jura, but a penny pincher - I highly recommend this thing if you make drinks with milk.One warning - When I first got my container and plugged it in it took what seemed forever for it to get cold, many hours. This cool down was never needed again and I suspect some initial process for a new units cooling process. After that initial cooling, it can go from room temp to milk cold in a bout 30 minutes.

This really works great! I was hesitant based on other reviews saying it the milk doesn’t last past 48 hours, but honestly mine has been fine for at least 5 days (probably could go longer). The difference in experience could be chalked up to the different milk types. I use whole fat A2 milk (stuff lasts forever opened, highly pasteurized). That being said, it still stay around 37 degrees F. That’s as good as the fridge, even better in some cases.All I have to do is clean the milk tube at the end of the day with the Jura cleaning process and its good to go. Hope this helps :)

We are absolutely thrilled with our Z10 and thrilled with the 1 liter Cool Control. Buying the larger model means we don’t have to fill it as often. It does a great job of keeping the milk cold and fresh and combined with the Z10 froth, foam and steamed milk is automatic! Fully automatic should mean that you press a button and get bean to cup automatically and this delivers. Cold brew drinks are made that much better with the addition of this unit.

High quality item that is well thought though. My main concern was maintenance and how to keep the milk system clean. The Jura solution (uses their own cleaning fluid, a special container that comes with the espresso machine and a milk system cleaning mode) works surprisingly well though. Main milk container goes into the dishwasher. Pipes are cleaned via a specific process that works well and takes < 5 minutes. Automatic rinsing works well and beyond that doing the full cleaning every 1-2 weeks seems to be sufficient. Overall, a very good system.

Very nice product and makes coffee lattes a breeze! Great addition to the Jura experience!

Missing the lid for the milk container. Seller said "I'll look around the office" when I mentioned it and then never responded.It's really not much different than storing the milk in your fridge and using a container thats way cheaper. Don't recommend

Vital if you make a lot of speciality coffee drinks during the day. It keep my milk at the perfect temperature. We bring it out when we have weekend company, otherwise it’s turned off and we save power. Love it for guests and holidays, but not for two people who occasionally like a latte.

This is not a frothing machine. At best it does light foam. WAY over priced for what you get.
