I purchased one of the knock-offs less expensive machines, not knowing at the time it was a blatant copy of the original creators' design which is a practice I detest. Ironically both are Chinese companies. I noticed with the cheaper blue version that the power cord would not seat firm enough to keep it from vibrating to a disconnect position. If they couldn't get that right, what else was defective that was unseen. They had to cut corners in many places to undersell the original manufacturer's product. Would there be any service or parts available? Was it a throw-away product?I returned it right away, purchased the original, and noticed that it is of superior quality. Opening the box, I found they had used 16ga steel 4" x 4" x 24" steel-formed angle brackets to protect the machine during shipping. These are too good to discard and made removing the machine much easier than how the blue machine was packaged. I had to cut the box up to get that one out. The first thing I checked was the power cord. It seats firmly as I would expect. The second thing was that the manual has an electrical schematic which will be important down the road. I have an old chiller that I could not get anyone to service because I either never got one or lost it. The directions are as mysterious as those with the blue machine, but I found a good video on YT that I could follow to set the machine parameters for my purpose.I got it set up and ran 500 aluminum parts engraving the part number. The cooling water stayed between 16.5c and 18c, which gave me peace of mind.I am pleased with the unit because of how compact and much lighter than my old chiller, which took two people to lift. This new design is 1/5 the cost of my original made in Taiwan.

I purchased this as the water cooling option for my orion motor tech 100w laser engraver. It is real easy to use, just connect the in/out feeds, fill with distilled water and turn on. Unlike the water in a bucket with a water pump option that comes standard with the laser, this unit cools water and supposedly will extend the life of your laser tube. I purchased it because my laser engraver is in my workshop which tends to be dusty at times. I felt I would be unable to really seal off the water if it was in a bucket with a pump and did not want dust ending up travelling through the cooling system. From the reviews I read that the water in a bucket is not that effective for large runs on your laser engraver so I opted for this as an upgrade.

Works great although it was a bit confusing to get set up. The clips were kind of cheap which caused leaks but after replacing the clips with heavy duty clips it has been great!

Using it for an industrial xray film processing unit. This unit fixed the overheating issue we were having and cost much less than the 4k the film processing company wanted to charge for a water chiller. Been using it everyday without a single issue.

We purchased this unit and unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we could not try it for a year. We fired it up for the first time and it is not cooling. We tried many videos to program it, including the selling company's instructions. It is still not working. I am very disappointed. EDIT TO ADD: The company would not work with us because we ordered it from Amazon. Cloudray asked us to go through extensive measures including taking the chiller apart and taking photos. Good thing my Husband has knowledge about this. After two nights of fooling around with it, they told us we have to go through Amazon and they can't help us. Would have been nice to know that before we spent time and frustration on something they were not going to help us with anyway. So, getting parts and/or guidance to try to fix it was not an option. We did not expect a replacement or refund because we had it for a year and had just unboxed it. Amazon was good enough to refund a partial amount. 12% was used as a re-stocking fee. Better a portion of what we spent, then nothing. I commend Amazon for standing behind their customers and condemn Cloudray for passing the buck. Make sure if you buy this, you buy it directly from the Cloudray website or you are screwed even though on Amazon, it says "Cloudray Store" when you order it, It means nothing. I will look for another company to purchase the replacement. I would NOT recommend buying from Cloudray.

I live in Texas and run my laser machine in my garage, this water chiller can keep my machine cool enough to work a full day with no issues.

Bought this for my 70 watt boss laser. Keeps its steady at 17C for hours great machine. As with any large item buy the warranty for security
