only works with 110v. I still use it often, its a great juicer, bit pricey but very easy to use..

Q: Will this Juicer handle large grapefruit?

I waited to answer until I could get a large grapefruit in my area of the country. I just tried to juice a grapefruit that was a diameter of 5.5 inches (16.5 inch circumference). The white pulp on the inside was no more than a quarter of an inch. I found it easy to juice. The top wasn't a problem at all. What I did find, however, was that the edge of the grapefruit meat was still intact, as the juicer core is only around 4 inches in diameter. I just closed the top a little and pressed on the grapefruit with my fingers along the side for 2 seconds and it was completed. It was very easy to do.Good luck and I hope this answer helps.

I would like to know the answer to this too. I have gone through a few juicers due to gears that are obviously plastic. I would love to find one that would last and has solid metal gears.
