Still my 'go to' Camera.
The media could not be loaded. I shoot a couple hundred shots each time I go out birding/nature shooting and I go out 4-5 times a week. After 4 and a half years and 1/4 million shots/videos my old P950 had seen better days.Back screen was replaced once and is now shot again (do not use in the rain), grips replaced several times and the mounting screw stripped. It was time.I have bought many (Renewed) major brand products in the last couple of decades. This just means they had an original issue and it has been repaired and tested back to factory specs.I already had plenty of memory cards and extra batteries so 10 minutes after I got the camera we were off and running.Worked flawlessly! If you are a 'birder' this camera works like a 2000mm scope.Only it shoots Hi Res photos and 4K Video.... and you don't need to lug a tripod around! All these shots are hand held. These shots are at full 83x Zoom in Bird Mode (well one in Moon Mode)..... Video at about 30x (edited in Shotcut).....I'm sure these will be 'down sized'/ compressed here but on my Flickr site they are flawless.Just remember this is not a very good 'Action Camera'... it's slow to focus... but w/ practice you WILL get most of your shots.PS..Turn off Digital Zoom... it's a gimmick....

Perfect, all-purpose, point & shoot
So far, this camera is performing perfectly! From extreme close-ups to those extreme zoom shots, this camera does both very well, plus everything in between--and all through one lens. It's actually light in weight, for its size. A large assortment of different lens filters, extra batteries, and other accessories are available for this camera. In one word: phenomenal

Amazing zoom camera
I bought this because getting close to birds is tricky. This camera makes it incredibly easy. The only complaints we have is that the images are a bit softer than we would like. Also the autofocus is not the fastest. We were used to our Canon R7 which has a blazingly fast autofocus and burst mode for taking a bazillion photos in the blink of an eye. The Nikon 950 can also take burst photos but it's just not quite as fast nor as sharp as the Canon. Even with these caveats, we are enthusiastically keeping the Nikon. Buying a Canon lens for our R7 that gets as close to birds as the Nikon would be 3-4 times as expensive. So the Nikon is for our kiddo who is the real ornithologist here and I'll stick with the Canon with a smaller zoom but maybe crisper shots of the close stuff. The icing on the cake for the Nikon is definitely Moon mode. We had a full moon last month and another one today and the photos are incredible. It looks so crisp and clear. It's not the quality you would see from Andrew McCarthy but it is amazing from a point and shoot camera. Definitely recommend the Nikon 950 as a great super zoom camera as long as you go in knowing what to expect.

Best all around Zoom Camera
In my opinion, the best camera there is. Outstanding steady zoom, great pictures. Viewfinder is the best. Stays in focus for quicker shots.

Works just long enough for the support window to expire
I bought this "renewed," figuring it's probably as good as new and I could save $100. If something was still wrong with it I had 3 months to return it and 6 months to utilize the "support" window (additional repairs, I assume). Either they fixed the problem when they refurbished it, or they didn't, right?Wrong. The camera worked as new for about 6-7 months, just long enough for the support window to expire, and then began draining the battery when the camera was off. So if I forget to remove the battery after each use it will inevitably be dead when I pick it up the next day. Not the end of the world, but this camera further only charges the batteries in-camera, so it's not like you are taking them out anyway to put in a charger.Amazon support should be at least a year on refurbished products. The timing on the appearance of the issues just made the whole experience seem scammy.

I love this camera!
The bird mode has been awesome for my bird photography. My last point n shoot camera had a 60x zoom, which I really liked, but it was getting old. The image quality and the amazing zoom on this are a huge upgrade! I was debating between this and the Coolpix p1000, but the size difference was what decided it for me. I love to hike with my dog and have the camera around my neck. This one isn't too heavy and doesn't get in my way. There are many features I have yet to explore, but I'm really enjoying it so far! I was also impressed with the Renewed version I received. The camera looks like new and includes all of the accessories I needed to get started. There was a strap, battery, and charging cable. Definitely worth saving a few hundred dollars!
