Yes, you can get better optics if you're willing to carry around something much bigger and heavier and more expensive. If you're looking for something extremely portable, I don't think you're going to find better optics without taking a big jump up in price. I bought one of these to test for use in a go bag, and after seeing the quality, immediately bought a second for the other go bag. My wife liked them so much she asked me to buy a 3rd set to take hiking and camping.

pretty good for the price but not great.I thought that with the fully multi coated optics that the images would be sharper. they are not bad at all but I was really hoping for better optics witch probably is just impossible at this price range

This would be perfect but I'm used to being able to focus each eye independently. Otherwise they are great!
