An Exceptional Clipper for Man AND His Dog
This clipper is a beast! Two Speeds: One for fine hair (low) and a faster speed for everything else. Easy to clean and use. One of the most outstanding features is that the blade doesn’t get hot at all, though the clipper itself gets quite warm, hence the raised ribs on the body.Best of all is that one pass clips everything in its path and results in an perfectly even cut without leaving ridges like others that take a few passes to get everything. One caveat, be aware that whatever you go over gets cut, so there's literally ZERO forgiveness if you make a mistake in handling the clipper. I purchased it for myself and a week later the Andis clipper I had just bought for my dog died after three uses. Turns out the removable blades for the dog's clipper are compatible with the Titan so...I tried it out. It works MUCH faster and much more efficiently than I expected. I can trim down the body of my schauzer in a quarter of the time it took the other clipper and she doesn't seem to mind the fact that it's slightly louder than the other one. The Titan-series blades from Oster are made with significantly higher materials quality and finish than the standard blades used on the Classic 76 but but the Titan can use blades that are compatible with either clipper. Also of note, you can get all the parts that wear out over time to keep you Titan running like new and plenty of how-to vids are on YouTube to help you out. This is a product that's built to keep running longer than its owner. Seriously!I love my Oster Fast Feed clipper but the Titan is in a different class, entirely. Recommended without reservations! It truly is made to be the last clipper you will ever need to buy.

First Impressions: A beast of a Machine
I just received the Titan clippers a few days ago and so far, all is as advertised or better. I used then for the first time today: cut through my hair and beard like butter. The included blades did not work for my purposes so I had to buy a "00000" which shipped with the clippers from a 3rd Party amazon seller. I was a little worried about some customer complaints that other Pro-Oster clippers heated up too quickly and could nit be handled due to excessive heat. I did not experience this with the Titan Clippers I purchased: I purposely took my time clipping my face and head, clippers were on low speed for a good hour: no unbearable heat. Clippers got very warm to be sure, but not too hot to handle. My only criticism so far is the heft and size of these clippers. If you have small hands, or if you are a pro who will be using the clippers for hours at a time, I would recommend considering the other Oster Pro models such as the Classic 76 or the Model 10. Another critique: The clippers included blade oil and motor grease but no clear instructions on how to grease the motor. I will need to research this on my own since apparently, the name plate needs to be removed and some parts need to be dismembered in order to properly grease the motor which apparently is extremely important to do and to do correctly. The owner's manual included in the box does mention this in a brief paragraph but there are no illustrations or step by step instructions and with the price of these clippers. I want to make sure it is done correctly. Maybe someone in the amazon universe has some wisdom to add to this last comment. I will update this review as I use the machine more but I don't expect anything negative to be added. These clippers are a beast and they look, feel and perform like a quality product.UPDATE:I have had these clippers for almost a year now with no issues. No overheating or mechanical problems. I saw a video on the Oster site about lubricating the motor which should be done roughly once a year and requires removing the front panel and taking apart the motor slightly. I wish this was a bit easier to do and more user friendly. I have not been brave enough to attempt this but lubricating the motor is an essential part of making your clippers last as long as possible. I will update my review after completing this task.

Good but gets pretty hot after 2 heads of cutting.
Cuts well but will get pretty hot even after a fresh grease treatment on motor and parts.

Why didn't I buy this 20 years ago? Never paying for another haircut. Done in 5min.
I just got this clipper yesterday. This morning I used a 3 3/4 clipper blade over my whole head. It took about 5min. I had my wife clean up the hair on my neck.I decided to do this after years of haircuts that didn't look quite right, and were different each time I went, even though my haircut style was recorded and printed for the hairstylist. (#3 on sides, scissor cut to about a #5 on top) It would look ok for a few weeks then the top would be too long. Last time I went, I asked to bring the top down to a #4 to make it last longer between cuts. This resulted in there not being much difference at all between the sides and top. So I got this, and the 3 3/4 blade. It came out about the same. Cost me nothing (the clipper will pay for itself in a year, and I can have as many haircuts as I want without ever waiting or paying for them). Why did I not do this 20 years ago? I will never pay or wait for another haircut again.A few points I have read about, that I disagree with:1. It's not loud at all. I have been in places with loud clippers. These are not loud at all, and with maintenance, I expect they will stay that way.2. It does not get hot. It will get warm after 5-10min, but the blade (mine is the longest they make stays cool against your skin. The housing gets warm. No big deal.3. It's not heavy at all. It's probably bigger and heavier than a lot of other clippers, but it's not the heavy industrial power tool I was lead to believe it was from some reviews. The cord is long and it's very easy to hold and use.I ordered a 3 1/2 blade along with it, to make the sides slightly shorter than the top, but I honestly think I may return it, since the sides lay down and look shorter than the top naturally anyway. No worries about blending the top and sides using only 1 blade, and I can do it myself in 5 min before showering in the morning. Takes me about the same time to shave. My life just got a lot better.
