We haven't had much luck with normal fly swatters, and the first time I used bug spray in the house my wife almost evicted me. Sticky fly paper resulted in zero captures. We were desperate, and when we saw the ad for this, I couldn't resist.Perhaps it's because we're old, or because our flies are just that spry, but we haven't found this to be a "one swing, one kill" experience. But that just means when we do connect, it's that much more exciting. We've both had success.When you do connect, there's a loud, satisfying snap/pop, like with the old ribbon-fed cap guns of the 1970s. The smell's also similar - faint, like something charred.Pros: it absolutely works. Hit the fly in the mesh, it's game over. Rechargeable with any micro-USB power supply (cable included; power supply is not, but who doesn't have at least a dozen spares lying around? You can also plug it into a laptop or computer USB port or most newer cars.) Two On settings - push-to-charge, and always-on. There is a light, so if something's buzzing after bedtime that might be helpful.Cons: The always-on setting drains the battery in a hurry. The built in light didn't do much to attract the flies for us for indoor use, though maybe it's more helpful outdoors at night. Build quality doesn't feel great, but you get two for the price so I guess it's a good value.

The media could not be loaded. I am so excited about this bug zapper! We raise chickens so flies can be a problem. They’ve been really awful this year so I couldn’t wait to go “hunting” once my package arrived. One of the zappers came with a little bit of charge, but I wanted to charge it fully so I knew how long it would last. It took a little over an hour to become fully charged - not bad at all! As soon as I noticed the light turn green (meaning fully charged), I put it to use. It works so well! I love that there is a blue light to attract the bugs. I tried swinging and that works, but still required some skill. So, I tried turning on the blue light and setting the zapper down. It caught several very quickly (see video). My husband is outside now having way too much fun. As long as the flies are gone, I’m happy!!

Works as expected. Took of a star because the charge doesn’t last long.

Bought to go camping in my RV. Love to zap those mosquitoes that get inside. So satisfying.Batteries last a decent time .

My family and I were looking for a new solution to the issue we have been having with flies on our ranch this summer. We have had an unusually high number get inside the house and the fly strips we have used in the past just aren’t enough. The Zap It! Electric Bug Zapping Racket is exactly what we needed!Within the first day we started using it, I would estimate the fly issue was cut in half. The rackets are super easy to use. They are much more effective than a regular fly swatter. I like that they can be charged using a USB. I also like that they are very safe to use I have nieces and nephews that visit often and these rackets are safe to have and use around them. That’s very important to me.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. The rackets have worked better than I even imagined they would. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new solution to their bug problem. Happy customer here!

Bought these in 2021 and now dying. Bought another set elsewhere in 2022 and 1 of the 2 pack didn't work out of the box. Contact Zap-it.us for an expedited replacement? That website doesn't exist and leads to spam. Type it in again and you get another website that pops up. Looked up address for Web Deals Direct LLC (found on BBB and company is not BBB accredited). Launched the website from BBB and it came up as SpaceSaver Bags (I will vouch for their lifetime replacement). Many of the reviews on the BBB website complain of the same thing - "so confident in our brand that product is covered by our lifetime replacement guarantee" but website it gives to contact doesn't exist. When it works it works great. Unfortunately the charging plug-in on the racket has been loose on every racket (have 4) so charging sometimes happens and other times not. I've tried multiple charging cables and they're so loose they eventually fall out. Will look for a different brand the next time. False advertising and loose connections is reason for 3 stars.

Both units appear to charge BUT on one of the zappers will turn ON. Requesting to return the set.Update 7/31/2021Received replacement, both are functioning. The set comes with one very short USB cable. It does not come with the AC to USB plug to charge the units ONE at a time.The Zapper has an AUTO function. I did not see any information in the literature provided with the product. The AUTO function keeps the Zapper in the on mode all the time. I found the handles becoming HOT from being On (AUTO) all the time. Not sure if there is a risk of them becoming to HOT!. There is No UL listing on the product. This would indicate they have not been test by UL (Underwriters Laboratory) to determine if the units may FAIL due to being left in the AUTO position for extended periods of time.

I love these electric fly swatters. They come with a charging cable and very easy to recharge and last well. The power of this thing is awesome. Kills bugs like a walk in the park. You can actually put the switch into an always on mode also so you don't have to keep squeezing the trigger to activate like older ones, although it does have the switch also if you prefer that route. I have already set it down and let it on and bugs get zapped without even holding it. Also has a UV type light you can turn on to draw critters at night. Highly recommended and good deal for 2 pack of these!
