Sprouted like a champ
When these arrived I was a little nervous. There was a very small bag, odd packaging, and not many seeds from the look of it. In fact, some were cracked or broken, so they were lost in transit and clearly not going to grow. I planted six them in early March in one of the deadest parts of my garden that had gone from sandy gravel driveway to garden bed over a year ago, just curious what would happen. All six sprouted. Now they're a handsome bunch, with a few flowering as they reach the end of their 3 month growing season! Big beautiful leaves (my fault, high nitrogen area, made for more leaves than roots, oops), and white flowers. The Daikons are peeking up out of the soil and flourishing happily.Area 6a - Eastern Washington State for those curious if they'll work where you are. I'm going to suggest not putting them in so they'll grow over summer, they seemed to bolt when temps hit 80, but they'll enjoy frost so lean into the warmer winters we've been having and see if you can keep them going in a cold frame through winter. They'll probably love it.Edit: Having allowed the first to bolt and fully seed, I've been reseeding using the original crop over and over again. There has been an endless abundance and this small packet of seeds has created a garden staple I'll never seemingly run out of. The original seeds should stay valid for 4 years easy. As for the daikons, cut them into slices, boil for 20 minutes, and then store in cold water. I pick them as needed, reseed every time I pull a few, and throw them into my ramen and other soups!I've had some issues with flies eating into the roots, this is solved by not overwatering them and not leaving them too long in the ground. The leaves get attacked by cabbage moths, which makes them a fantastic decoy plant since I don't eat the leaves and that just makes for larger root production. Do cover them with a little shield (I use soda bottles) when they get started and are the only green thing around or they'll be eaten to the dirt though! Also, I've been throwing the new extra seeds anywhere and everywhere on my property, which is all nasty hardpacked sand and semi-arid hardened mud. They'll pop up anywhere if they get moisture. Then they grow, break the soil up for other plants, and then reseed themselves; even over winter! The ground beneath them gets richer and richer for every one I leave in-ground or where I compost the leaves (which are also edible, but too peppery for my liking) in-situ. I've gone from nothing growing in an area, to radishes, to beautiful flower gardens. They really are tillage radishes! Thanks so much, these are great plants.

Quick Germination
I planted 14 seeds and had 100% germination. First time growing daikon, but the seedlings look healthy and are off to a good start.
